Three Bean Casserole (or "Non-bean-lover's favorite baked beans")

A different/lighter alternative to traditional baked beans. Especially good for picnics/barbeques because it goes well with chicken, burgers, dogs or sandwiches and can be served hot, warm, or room temperature so it's always ready to eat!
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
4 slices of bacon
1 large onion, sliced
16-oz can lima beans, drained
16-oz can pork and beans in tomato sauce
16-oz can red kidney beans, drained
(2) 7.5-oz cans of tomatoes, cut up
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 TB Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp dry mustard
DIRECTIONS
1. Cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet, reserving 2 TB of drippings in the skillet. Drain bacon on paper towels, crumble and set aside.


2. Cook onion in reserved drippings until tender but not brown. Drain. In a 2 qt casserole or bean pot, combine crumbled bacon, onion, lima beans, undrained pork and beans, kidney beans and undrained tomatoes. Stir in brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and mustard.


3. Bake, covered ina 375 degree oven for 40 minutes. Then uncover and bake 20-25 minutes longer.


4. Can be served hot, warm, or room temperature. (makes it especially good for picnics/barbeques where food temperatures are often hard to control.)

lima beans???
I make something similar to this and it's always a big hit!! But I use butter beans, not lima beans.
