2 cup dry Green Peas
1 tsp salt
1 Tbs of olive oil
1 med. yellow onion chopped
2 med. carrots chopped
2 cups of water  OR (if not vegetarian) 2 cups chicken  broth
1/4 bunch dill chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Cover green peas with water. Cook with 1 tsp on salt. Until tender.

In dutch oven add one tablespoon olive oil on medium heat. When hot, add the onion. Until caramelized. Add chopped carrots. Drained cooked peas. Add to carrot onion mixture. Add liquid. Simmer until liquid has almost evaporated and carrots and peas are fully cooked. Then add salt and pepper to taste and chopped dill. Stir and leave 5 more min. on stove. If you like it more 'soupy' add 1/2 cup hot liquid of your choice. Serve hot steaming.
