Winter Fruit and Almond Crumble

Quick to put together and I usually have all of the ingredients in around the holidays. This is delicious on a cold night and the recipe can easily be scaled up.
2 small (or 1 Giant) Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
4 tbsp cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 tsp almond extract
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon, divided
3 tbsp quick cooking oats
3 tbsp AP flour
3 tbsp dark brown sugar
3 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
2 tbsp sliced almonds
1/4 cup whipping cream
1/2 tbsp Amaretto (optional)
Preheat the oven to 375. Butter 2 large single serving ramekins. In a bowl, combine the apples, cranberries, almond extract, sugar, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Divide between both ramekins.

Combine the remaining cinnamon, oats, flour, and dark brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Pat over apples in ramekins. Bake for 50 minutes.

Sprinkle sliced almonds over the top and return to the oven for another 5 minutes to toast the almonds (don't let them burn).

Let cool for 15 minutes. Whip cream with Amaretto (or if you prefer to omit the alcohol, a dash of almond extract). Serve over crumbles.
