Zesty Clam Dip

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 (7 1/2-oz.) can clams, minced
2 (8-oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, room temperature
1/2 cup light sour cream
1/2 med. red bell pepper, finely diced
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
Kosher salt
Serving: pita crisps
Wine Pairing: Riesling
DIRECTIONS
Drain clams and reserve (2 tablespoons juice)and add 2 tablespoons clam juice to cheese. Blend until smooth. Add minced clams and remaining ignredients. Mix well. Taste and adjust the seasonings. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve with pita crisps. Yield: about 8 servings.
