I really love this popper! I use air popped corn to make my homemade caramel corn and I am always on the lookout for high quality products! I love that this machine has an on/off button (a feature that most air poppers do not have) and that the butter cup has a notch to hold it in place. It works well and does exactly what it should with no problems.

As mentioned in one of the cooking.com reviews of the product, when making anywhere from 1//4 to 1/2 cup of (un-popped) kernels, a few (really very few) un-popped kernels are delivered into the collection bowl. I found that I could not prepare less than 1/4 cup (un-popped) kernels or most of the kernels would blow through un-popped. I do not consider this a drawback inasmuch as the 1/4 cup serving in enough to satisfy me without being too much; especially since the finished popcorn is, in fact, the best tasting popcorn I have ever had. I recommend this product highly.

Wow! I am impressed. In less time that it takes to microwave a bag of popcorn, this unit generates a huge bowl of awesome popcorn. And heated air only. No oil or anything else.
It is a compact unit (you pop directly into a bowl of your choice; so the unit itself is small). And there is a little tray (that you can use to measure the popcorn kernels) that you can use to melt butter which is very convenient.
When you are done, the two parts that need to be washed can go in the dishwasher.
I am very pleased with my purchase.
Makes great popcorn quick and easy. Like the fact that you just add the popcorn and turn it on. That's it! I would have given it a 5 but it does blow out some kernals before they are popped.

UNFORTUNATELY, I HAVE BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO REGULAR POPPED CORN AND THE TASTE DIFFERENCE IS A KILLER. AIR POPPED CORN HAS LITTLE TASTE AND I WOULD JUST AS SOON DO WITHOUT. THIS IS NOT A KNOCK ON THE POPPER BUT ON THE METHOD USED TO POP THE CORN.

It worked well, though threw several popped kernels on the floor in its enthusiasm! There were quite a few unpopped kernels (old maids, we call them), and the end result was rather chewy, instead of crisp. I don't know how much of this, as well as the old maids, was due to the brand of corn we used (Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Popping Corn) plus the extremely high humidity around here the past few days. Have used O R microwave corn and it is very crispy. Will withhold final judgement till we have used it a few more times.
