Recipe Rock.....cleaver gadget

by Carol, MO
September 21, 2012

I bought two Recipe Rocks while they were on sale. This little product is so amazing. Strong enough to hold most of my recipes. Doesn't take up much needed space on my counter top. I'm also going to use the Rock on my craft table. It will be perfect for holding instruction sheets or a photo of painting projects. My biggest concern is the metal ball that could fall on the floor and be picked up by my little dog or a small child. I wish they had attached a cord of some kind to the ball and the base to make the Recipe Rock a safer item for most consumers. For this reason I'm giving it four stars.

I love it!!

The recipe rock is really great. It's small, so it doesn't take up a lot of space. And it holds recipes really great--very strong magnet. So the recipe is right there for me to read at a glance whenever I need to. I really love my recipe magnet. And I got several for Christmas gifts, so others can experience the convenience too. It's the best.

Shape of Recipe Rock

by Carolyn, PA
December 12, 2012

Because of the curve of the "rock" even a sheet of paper that has been folded in half will stand up straight - awesome!

It holds those recipes you printed off the computer as well as recipe cards. I love how little counter space it uses and how easy I can move my recipe around to where I need it.

why you need a recipe rock

by Patricia, NY
April 27, 2013

Many of us get our recipes from the internet, and this is great way not to get it dirty (as we got our index cards dirty when baking/cooking)....and to hold it upright for better reading.

Sharp addition to the kitchen

The recipe rock looks great in my kitchen. It's heavy duty and easily holds a very sturdy weight recipe card. It's a bit pricy.

I keep my printed recipes in page protectors And I wasn't sure whether that magnet would be strong enough to hold it up. But it is!

ANOTHER "USEFUL BUT ..." KITCHEN GADGET

by Susan , NY
September 26, 2012

It never ceases to amaze me that--no doubt even as I type--someone out there is coming up with yet another piece of kitchen equipment we "foodies" can be persuaded we can't live without! The Recipe Rock is a perfect example: Of COURSE it does what it purports to, and of COURSE it's small, well designed, "cute"--and makes a fine minigift for one's fellow cooks--but STILL...! The whole principle behind this kind of thing is what I find amusing (e.g., s)some years ago I was given a very attractive spoon rest, when I already had a more than adequate one: a bright red saucer whose cup was long gone).

Great little addition to the kitchen!

by Judy, IL

The recipe rock is small, neat, and works! I bought several and am giving them for office gifts this Christmas. More and more of us are using printed out recipes. I keep mine in a 3-ring binder but that is awkward on the counter so with the rock, I can pop it out and it takes no room at all.

It was cheesy, too light, a joke.

It was one of the worst products I have ever ordered, no where was it stated the new colors were smaller and lighter than the originals, no warnings. The quality was really bad, it was not functional.
