For the most part, I really like the look and feel of this glass jar. I decided to use it as a change jar without the lid. I do think the lid could be improved, as it is now it is not suitable for food storage at all (even dry pantry items).

We had been hoping to use this as a big flour jar, however the seal is not tight enough. So instead, we're just using it to store wine corks (and it looks lovely), but I would recommend it only for storing things that don't require a tight seal.
