The RSVP International Rotary Food Mill lets you quickly power through straining and pureeing many common foods. Each rotary food mill comes with three blades with varying hole sizes. The blades, in coarse, medium and fine grades, let you choose the amount of pulp and the size of the final pieces are after use. The versatile tool has interchangeable stainless steel disks that make it easy to swap sizes during use. Sharp stainless-steel construction holds its edge for quite some time, and the rotary food mill cleans easily on the top shelf of most dishwashers. An odor-free bowl does not absorb or alter flavors and holds ample food for preparation. Each mill comes with a long handle for comfortable use, and a pot rest between 6.25 and 10.25 inches in diameter fits on top of the bowls. Best Used For: Use the rotary food mill to puree apples to create delicious sauce for a tasty and healthy snack or juice tomatoes with a different interchangeable blade. Choose your own puree size for carrots or potatoes and create hearty soups with fresh ingredients. Features:
  • Quickly strain or puree many soft foods
  • Multiple blades allow precise preparation
  • Interchangeable design allows for quick blade swaps
  • Plastic odor-free bowl protects flavors
  • Long handle creates comfortable grip during use
  • Large pot rest relieves stress and strain
  • Fits neatly over many bowls and pots
  • Cleans quickly in the top rack of dishwashers
  • Cleaning & Care: Top rack, dishwasher-safe
  • Material: Plastic bowl; 18/10 stainless steel disks

  • Excellent product

I had a stainless steel food mill for years but it was large, bulky and hard to turn. I still need to use a food mill occasionally so decided to purchase a much smaller lighter version. I am thrilled with the lighter, easier plastic mill. The blades and handle are stainless but the compact plastic bowl makes it so much lighter and the smaller handle is easier to turn. I would recommend this product to "older" cooks whose hand strength has diminished a little over the years.

    I recommend this product.

  • Glad I bought this

Bought this as using a potato ricer has become problematic for my hands. It is easy enough to assemble and use--does a great job, and can be put in the dishwasher. Who could ask for more?

    I recommend this product.

I read about using a food mill in Cook's Country magazine ... that it makes silky smooth mashed potatoes without fail. I had to get one and this one is fantastic. It's easy to use and lives up to its promise. I highly recommend it! I love it!

This food mill did the job for me. Although it has a plastic bowl, it performed as I had hoped. A good value also.

  • Good Value

This is not the best food mill out there... but it is a good deal. If you're a just making jams and sauces as a hobby (as I am) and don't want to spend $100.00 on a food mill for 1 or 2 uses a year, this one will do just fine.

  • Not just run-of-the-mill.

Although there are better food mills on the market, this is an excellent choice for its price. It doesn't have a large capacity and I worry about the plastic lasting as long as a metal one would. but for ocassional use this is sufficient.

So far I have just run whole peeled canned tomatoes through and it worked fine. Some of the tomato skin stuck to the blade (largest) making me stop and scrape it off but that's a minor difficulty. Have not tried on anything else. Works for the use I had intended.

  • not as good as I expected

We purchased the Rotary Food Mill by RSVP based on the recommendation from a national cooking show. As expected, for about $20 it is not a very sturdy device but what is troubling that regardless of which screen is inserted, when turning the crank the blade scrapes the screen. This raises concern of getting metal shavings in the food, although probably it won't happen. Called the company and they were very pleasant. They sent out a new set of three screens which haven't made any difference. I am disappointed in this gadget.

  • I used the new food mill the first weekend and made applesauce.  Tasty and easy.  The crank turned easily, and the unit was easy to take apart and clean.  Great value for the price.

  • Great ricer.

I really like this ricer -- it's lightweight and does the job. Makes perfect mashed potatoes in short order. Fits on almost any bowl nicely. Goes in the dishwasher. So much better all-around ricer than those heavy stainless steel ones.

  • Awesome

Very impressed even though it is plastic. My last food mill was a poorly constucted metal one and this is definately superior. I went through ten pounds of potatoes in a very short time. I would highly recommend this. Great product for a great price!

  • OK for baby food

This mill is alright to prepare baby food. However for harder jobs, I would get an all metallic mill.

  • Inexpensive food mill

This is a nice inexpensive food mill when you don't want to spend a lot of money. The first time I used it, I used it on San Marzano tomatoes to remove skin and seeds. It did stain it but doesn't matter to me as long as it works. Love the product!

Worked as advertised all you need to remember is that it is made of plastic and you can NOT crank down on it like if it was made of Stainless Steel.
Other than that it works as good as the SS one I had for years but lost during a move and repaced it with this one as I don't cook sauces as much as in the past and feel this will last me if I take care of it.
And for the money spent you can't ask for more.

This product is still relatively new for me though I've used it a few times. I purchased this product as a tool to use in making home made baby food. Thus far it is working wonderful!! I love how it smashes the food usable for baby food and keeps the skin and seeds out. It does not waste much food and is easy to clean providing you don't let the food sit on it over night. Parts are dishwasher safe on top rack too. The built in bowl rest ridges don't perfectly fit any of my Pirexware so I did have to dig around for a suitable bowl, though I'd rather have this feature than not. Very easy to assemble and disassemble. I have not used other mills to compare this against another but am satisfied with this product. Seems to be good quality. Perfect for steamed pear, peas, green-beans and foods alike. Size is good though storage is a bit difficult due to it's shape with feet.

    I recommend this product.

  • Too Early to Review

I bought this mill to make spaghetti sauce, but the tomatoes I used were cherry tomatoes and the mill did not like the ratio of skin to meat. Since there was a high ratio of skin to meat, the skins kept clogging the mill which rendered the process ineffective -- only the liquid made it to the bowl and the pulp stayed mixed with the skins in the mill. I am anticipating a better result this fall when the Romas are used, but not holding my breath. I sure hope it does a better job for the applesauce too. To circumvent the problem this time, I simply removed the skins (easy when frozen and run under water) and milled the pulp only. Removing the skins from Roma tomoatoes, which are larger, is an easy process. I just wished I could have bypassed this step for the cherry tomatoes. So, I took the middle-of-the-road rating.

Otherwise, the product was easy to assemble, use, store, and clean.

    I recommend this product.

I bought this as a gift for my cousin. She loves it. I've had one for years and love mine. The product arrived on time. I am very satisfied with this purchase. My cousin is now enjoying the greastest mashed potatoes. She used it for doing the yols for her deviled eggs also.
