The RSVP International Rotary Food Mill lets you quickly power through straining and pureeing many common foods. Each rotary food mill comes with three blades with varying hole sizes. The blades, in coarse, medium and fine grades, let you choose the amount of pulp and the size of the final pieces are after use. The versatile tool has interchangeable stainless steel disks that make it easy to swap sizes during use. Sharp stainless-steel construction holds its edge for quite some time, and the rotary food mill cleans easily on the top shelf of most dishwashers. An odor-free bowl does not absorb or alter flavors and holds ample food for preparation. Each mill comes with a long handle for comfortable use, and a pot rest between 6.25 and 10.25 inches in diameter fits on top of the bowls. Best Used For: Use the rotary food mill to puree apples to create delicious sauce for a tasty and healthy snack or juice tomatoes with a different interchangeable blade. Choose your own puree size for carrots or potatoes and create hearty soups with fresh ingredients. Features:
  • Quickly strain or puree many soft foods
  • Multiple blades allow precise preparation
  • Interchangeable design allows for quick blade swaps
  • Plastic odor-free bowl protects flavors
  • Long handle creates comfortable grip during use
  • Large pot rest relieves stress and strain
  • Fits neatly over many bowls and pots
  • Cleans quickly in the top rack of dishwashers
  • Cleaning & Care: Top rack, dishwasher-safe
  • Material: Plastic bowl; 18/10 stainless steel disks
  • Origin: China
  • Size/Capacity: 2.5-qt.

  • Excellent product

I had a stainless steel food mill for years but it was large, bulky and hard to turn. I still need to use a food mill occasionally so decided to purchase a much smaller lighter version. I am thrilled with the lighter, easier plastic mill. The blades and handle are stainless but the compact plastic bowl makes it so much lighter and the smaller handle is easier to turn. I would recommend this product to "older" cooks whose hand strength has diminished a little over the years.

    I recommend this product.

  • Glad I bought this

Bought this as using a potato ricer has become problematic for my hands. It is easy enough to assemble and use--does a great job, and can be put in the dishwasher. Who could ask for more?

  • Silky smooth mashed potatoes

I read about using a food mill in Cook's Country magazine ... that it makes silky smooth mashed potatoes without fail. I had to get one and this one is fantastic. It's easy to use and lives up to its promise. I highly recommend it! I love it!

  • Handy for baby food

which is what I bought it for. I have made applesauce, sweet potato puree, summer squash puree and carrot and beef stew puree - the last one impressed me. what it wasn't good for was pumpkin - because i put it in skin and all, the pumpkin turned out bitter :(

all in all, not a bad buy. it's a little difficult to hold the mill over the bowl and grind at the same time unless the bowl fits the three

  • This little gadget worked great this Thanksgiving milling five pounds of spuds for mashers. They came out light and fluffy (and delicious!) The leftover mashers were even light and fluffy.

Highly recommend this item! Easy to use and easy to clean.

  • Worth it!

I've never used a food mill before, so I have nothing to compare this one to, but I am very happy with my purchase. (I only gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because I don't have anything to compare it to.) I used it last weekend to make applesauce and it was a breeze! Would absolutely recommend this food mill.

  • FANTASTIC! I love it! GREAT value!

I had LOTS of tomatoes this summer from our garden, and I wanted to use them. My mother-in-law, Mary, has made tomato juice for years and showed me how to do it. I used her mill. I had to scrub the rust out before I used it, and several times during the process. It worked OK, but I knew there had to be a better one out there. I Googled

  • I have used this mill 4 times and am pleased with the results. Initially I had trouble clamping the bar into the slots - it took a fair amount of strength. Subsequently, it became easier to assemble. This food mill is a great value compared to others on the market. I would recommend this as an economical mill that is able to do the work for which it is designed.

  • Works Great - Though you need good hands

This works great. Good material. Great design. I've tossed it in the dishwasher and it takes that too. I feel certain it will last for years to come.

The only reason it didn't get a higher rating was because you need to have strong hands to get that blade in place against the grater. I'm petite too, so I had to stand on my stool to lean into it and get it squeezed on. If you have arthritis or are getting it for someone frail, I might reconsider.

Maybe one other thing you might wonder about is securing it to a bowl, It will fit different sizes but I had trouble at times. That might be because of my height too. I was always using it from an angle rather leaning over it.

I have never bought or used one of these before, so I don't know, they may all be like that. I bought it to make baby food and it worked great for that. I even used it to grind up meat. I started with cut up pieces and worked my way from the coarser to the finer grater.

    I recommend this product.

  • I am thoroughly enjoying the use of the R.S.V.P. rotary food mill. I used my mother's Foley food mill for many years to make applesauce, until parts of it started to rust.
The plastic parts of this food mill make it light and easy to clean up. Having the use of three different disks makes it even more versatile. My daughter has taken it over as her ricer is harder to use and not nearly as fast in making mashed potatoes. The price is very reasonable !

    I recommend this product.

This mill works very well, and is easy to assemble and disassemble. If you want to make baby food, I would recommend something smaller--this does better with lots of food.

THE PLASTIC MILL WORKS OK BUT HAS TROUBLE MILLING THE LAST OF THE FOOD WHEREAS OUR OLD ALL METAL MILL WOULD PUREE THE LAST LITTLE BIT.

  • Rorary Food Mill by R.S.V.P.

I've tried to find a satisfactory replacement for my very old Foley food mill for a long time, and happened upon a review of this mill through the Cooks Illustrated website. It has everything I was looking for: it sits up high on the bowl, sits level, operates easily and efficiently, and disassembles and cleans up easily. I use a food mill mostly for making applesauce and this one does the job well.

    I recommend this product.

  • I LOVE my Rotary Food Mill. I never thought it would be so easy to mash potatoes. They are so fluffy. I don't even need to add butter. And clean up is a snap. Rinse and in the dish washer. I love it. I have already recomended it to a friend. The price is the best part.

  • So Glad I Purchased This Food Mill !!!

I make a lot of apple butter, jams, jellies, and sauces so I've owned a lot of food mills over the years. I rate this food mill the best I've ever used. It's very well constructed with 3 different size interchangeable steel discs for all my food mill needs. I love the sturdy notched pot rests. I can sit this on top of everything from a small bowl to a large pot without it wobbling all over the place. The mill comes completely apart for easy cleaning. The price is right and it works great!

    I recommend this product.
