Best Pizza Stone Ever

by Evelyn, CA
September 12, 2010

This will be the last pizza stone I ever buy. Well...maybe not the last because I love it so much I will probably buy another one to give to my daughter!
This pizza stone does exactly as described by previous reviewers: the pizzas do not stick, and you can cut them right on the stone, there are no marks from a knife or a pizza cutter. The stone washes up so easily and looks beautiful. I can't stop making pizza! Love it.

Pizza Stone Just Got Better

by Danielle, WI
November 6, 2010

The stone is wonderful. It has handles! Why didn't anyone think of this before? And it's great because you can use a pizza wheel on the stone and it doesn't scratch. This was a very good buy.

A New and better Pizza Platform

by Eugene, NC
October 10, 2011

What's not to like about this new ceramic pizza stone from Emile Henry .....it's beautiful, it's easy to move from oven or grill to table, thanks to the raised handles, and a pizza cutting wheel can be rolled over it without damage. It takes a while longer to get it sufficiently hot than the similar Lodge cast iron pizza "stone," but once properly heated, it does a great job of cooking pizza. I found that my large Weber charcoal grill does not get quite hot enough to smoke and finish a pizza in a fair amount of time, but a combination of starting one in a very hot oven, then taking it out and moving it to the Weber grill for a few minutes and then placing it back in the hot oven to finish to a brown and bubbling state was perfect for creating something close to a wood-fired oven pizza. This thing is a pleasure to use and is easy to clean. High marks!

The Right Size Stone

by Linda, CO
November 6, 2010

This Pizza Baking Stone is so easy to use with the handles already shaped into the design.
I have used it for cookies, biscuits, frozen foods and pizza. I am sure there will be many more baking goods that will brown perfectly as these did.

This pizza stone revives frozen pizzas! I also use it for baking other items; it's great for breads, and I love the ease of cutting directly on the stone.

Using the Stone

by William, FL
November 6, 2010

I warm the stone in the oven when getting it ready for the pizza. Hardest part is to slide pizza son the stone off the peel without messing it up. Pizza crust turned out very good.

Finally a pizza stone that really works!!

by Harvey, NY
August 24, 2011

The real difference is the porcelain enamel coating which really makes this a pleasure to use and clean-up a breeze. We've owned other stones that were porous and not easy to use. Emile Henry products are well thought out and designed, Cooking.com delivered when promised at a resonable price for a product that hopefully will last a long time

Great idea for a pizza stone

by Thomas, IL
November 23, 2010

We bought this for a Christmas gift, so we are not sure how it performs. But we have bought several pizza stones in the past and are big proponents of the concept . Many have chipped &/or broken. This one cures many of the ills of the others we have purchased - strong hard heavy duty construction, non porous easy to clean surface, good size just right for a large toaster oven, round vs. square, nicely integrated handles for easy use, and you get an attractive & colorful piece as a bonus. What's not to love.

pizza stone

by Phyllis, PA
December 29, 2011

I think this product is absolutely beautiful! I had purchased a pampered chef stone and it turned so ugly and discolored after only 2 uses, I sent it back! I have not used this product yet, but I intend to and purchased 3 as gifts. It was wonderful to be able to put it in the dishwasher, as you cannot do with pampered chef. I look forward to using this stone in the very near future!

Olive Glazed Pizza Stone disappointment

by Dianna, TX
June 22, 2011

Was so excited to get a stone that would clean up and not leave the black ugliness that you always end up with the usual pizza stone. Problem is, every pizza cooked so far, no matter how much cornmeal, sticks to the stone so badly that the pizza tears apart trying to get it off. It DOES clean up with lots and lots of scrubbing but in my opinion was a big waste of my money.

Peel for Stone

by Jane, IL
September 1, 2011

I notice now you include the wood pizzaa peel when ordering the stone at the same price. I would like to have that. Instead you have sent me a magazine (Food and Wine) that I don't want. You would make me very happy if you sent the wood pizza stone at no cost.

I have not had a chance to use the stone because the weather got to hot to turn on the oven.

Will I hear from You?

Jane

Emile Henry Pizza Stone

by Daniel, WA
October 3, 2011

I bought this stone to replace a [useless] Mario Batelli marble. The Emile Henry stone is awesome i use it on my gas grill for a manner of cooking, from fish to racks of lamb. There is no concern with it cracking and the clean up is very quick and easy.

love this

by Marylou, WV

I have used stoneware for years but bought this glazed stone for the new home. I like not having to heat the stone prior to putting the pizza on it--that was very awkward when making home made pizzas. Plus this one cleans soooo easily. I'll never go to plain stoneware again.
