Love this teapot...beautiful color and great whistle to remind you when your water has boiled! Love it!

dribbly mess

This teakettle is attractive but not terribly functional. Every time I pour water out of it, it dribbles. My husband has recommended that he punch a hole in the top so that it will vent enough to keep it from making such a mess. I feel very disappointed in the purchase.

A great whistle!

We are very pleased with this tea kettle. My wife loves the color. It heats water very quickly and we have had no problems with the whistle. It is very loud and distinctive and cannot be missed from anywhere on the first floor of our home. Overall we are very happy with our choice. The tea kettle has a large capacity for water and cleans up easily. The design makes it somewhat difficult to add water through the top opening because of the handle design, but this is a minor issue.

So practical & attractive

This is the second teakettle I have purchased in 6 months. The first was very unique looking, but had no whistle, the handle got very hot & the chrome pitted when I put it in the dishwasher.
I needed a teakettle that whistled, my husband uses it mostly & sometimes forgets to
turn the burner off when it is finished.
I really like the style of this teakettle, the whistle is unique & I know Chantal is a reputable company.
The only problem so far is that at first the lid was very tight & we didn't get it pushed in
completely all the time & heat was escaping through the lid causing it not to whistle.
It is loosening up a bit now & we are learning to push the lid on tightly.
We really like the teakettle, the materials & neat style. The handle is easy to grip & pour from & I especially like that the whistle can't be removed or left up, so we will always have a warning if we forget to turn the burner off - I think that is a very nice safety device. For a Chantal product this is a very good price.
