Large Iced Tea Glasses

These are fragile, pretty iced tea glasses. Unfortunately, the style is not very stable. They are very easy to knock over and break. They do tend to keep beverages cold, but they are not as effective at insulating the beverage as I had hoped. The pre-Christmas sale price and free shipping coupon made them a more attractive price.

Beautiful, lightweight, but fragile

My husband and I have used these glasses for cold drinks only, so far. The borosilicate glass and double-wall design does prevent condensation on the outside of the glass, which is nice. They do seem to keep cold drinks colder than a regular soda-lime glass would.

However, within two washes, one of the glasses shattered in the dishwasher. The manufacturer recommends against packing them tightly or handling them roughly in the dishwasher, but I think we followed both instructions pretty well.

I would recommend these glasses only for folks who are willing to hand-wash them after each use, and for households without children.

These glasses are very 'tipsy', because they are wider at the top than the base, and they are VERY, VERY fragile.

Great but delicate..

I bought two sets of these and love them. They are awesome for hot beverages and are very easy to handle.

The only problem I have with them is their delicacy, I have broken two of them in the sink cleaning them.

Would Purchase Again

I like the thremal qualites of these glasses and the size is a nice fit for the hand. The lightness takes a bet of gitting use to and I still have a tendency to be more carefull with them but I have yet to have a problem with any of the Bodum glassware I have purchased.

Very good product overall! Double wall insulation actually works extremely well! Would be an EXCELLANT product if it were made stronger ( inner walls break very easily ). Extreme caution using ice! Also, balance can be a problem. If you use with appropiate caution -- very good product!

Pricey but great

Although rather expensive for an everyday glass, this Bodum product delivers typical high quality. The sealed double wall design keeps ice tea icey for an extended amount of time. I use it everyday and am extremely happy. A great vessel!

Beautiful glass but very tippy.

These are great glasses and I highly recommend them. Does exactly what the features say they do; keeps hot HOT and cold COLD. No condensation. Really an awesome product.

Great for wine!

I purchased these for wine. They're great because your hand doesn't change the temperature of the wine. They are amazingly light weight and easy to hold.

Very elegant. we will be ordering more in the smaller sizes. No condensation. No mess.

Double wall glasses by Bodum

Now having experience with the 9 oz and 12 oz glasses, the shape and thermal characteristics are great as is the comfort of handling. the only negative aspect is the fragility due to the thinness of the glass. The best I have ever seen and used

These glasses will really amaze you. They look so simple, yet they do exactly what they were designed to do. They keep your coffee nice and hot for a very long period of time. I would think, they would also keep something cool at the temperature you desire for an equal amount of time too.

great glasses for lattes!

I love these glasses. They really don't get hot on the outside yet keep your drink at the correct temperature. It is fun to see your drink and I'm going to order more.

Great glasses!! Everyone that saw them wanted them for themselves. Hands stay comfortable.....not too hot or too cold. Drinks stay at their desired temperature longer. No more need for ice or coffee mugs in my house. The glasses seem very light for their size, almost weightless. THIS LEADS TO THE ONE REASON I DID NOT GIVE 5 STARS....The glasses are very fragile. Wife tiped one on its side while in the sink and it shattered. Great glasses, but they need great care as well.
