Just bought my husband a smoker for the upgraded back deck. He did not have the appropriate mitts to take the meat out safely. These mitts are perfect for the backyard grilling.

I bought these Gloves For tha sole purpose of picking up burnig wood and coals as a fire rake or poker create unneeded ash to fly aroud by handling the woo/coal slim to none ash is distribed

The barbeque gloves came very highly recommended by a colleague in the culinary business. They are to be fa holiday gift for a relative.
I was, however,upset that they have a strong and unpleasant odor. This may be due to the dyes used in the tanning process -- not sure. But the odor is quite offensive, nonetheless. I aired them out for several days in the hopes the odor would decrease . It didn't help much. It will probably take weeks or months for the odor to decrease; hopefully they will be used with an outdoor grill..
You might ask the manufacturer how this can be resolved ; I wanted to order another pair, but hesitate because of the smell.
