The Riedel Set of 2 Ouverture Red Wine Glasses is a great introductory option if you're starting to expand your knowledge of red wines, and we love its competitive price. Riedel designs its Ouverture series glasses with simplicity and versatility in mind. The set is nonvarietal specific and doesn't discriminate against growing regions; from Bordeaux merlot to Argentinean malbec, the glasses ensure that each drink is full of robust, well-developed flavor. Made from lead-free crystal, these red wine glasses are a safe everyday accompaniment to rich, flavorful dinners or a relaxing nightcap. They're also durable and easy to clean. Each glass features a wide, shapely bowl that increases air contact and oxidation, enhancing your wine's flavor profile. Thin, cut-and-polished rims allow each drop to smoothly roll onto your tongue. The brilliant, crystal-clear finish, stately profile and elegant stem are equally at home for dinner parties or romantic dates. Best of all, the set is made for sharing—invite a friend or loved one over for a taste of a newly discovered or treasured, favorite red. Best Used For: We recommend using the Riedel Set of 2 Ouverture Red Wine Glasses to enjoy any type of red wine. Pour a generous serving from your bottle, give it a gentle swirl and enjoy. Features:
  • Lead-free crystal construction
  • Nonvarietal specific for daily use
  • Machine blown in Bavaria, Germany
  • Capacity: 12.5-oz.
  • Cleaning & Care: Dishwasher Safe
  • Dimensions: 7.5-in. height
  • Material: Non-Lead Crystal
  • Origin: Germany
  • Size/Capacity: Set of 2

  • great gift idea

My sister uses these glasses so we got a set for my father. They are very attractive and he really likes them. The only way they could be better would be if they were break resistant.

    I recommend this product.

  • Perfect Wine Glass

Seen in all the best restaurants, this wine glass has become a classic for both commercial and home use, which says a lot for its elegance, durability and affordability. Nice thin rim, good size for both red and white. I selected it because it matches well in size and style with the glass in my pattern that I use for wine: Baccarat Haut Brion (Water Goblet - Tall), which is now only occasionally available at over $100/ea through discontinued crystal outlets. The Baccarat has a slightly wider diameter base and opening, otherwise, a pretty close match.

    I recommend this product.

  • Crystal Red Wine Glasses (set of 2)

I was very disappointed with the size of these 'red wine' glasses. They are small and more fitting to be called white wine glasses than red. The glasses are nice, but if I had realized how small they were I would not have purchased them.

    I recommend this product.

  • Riedel wine glasses

Probably not the best wine glasses one could buy, but the quality is excellent for the price. I've bought a number of Riedel glasses, for both whites and reds, stems and stemless, though I no longer buy crystal with lead content. My latest purchase won't be my last.

    I recommend this product.
