Just sprinkle the salt mix and pepper mix on the steaks, let the steaks sit at room tempature for about 15 minutes -- then grill. I almost ran out and wanted to save what little I had left. I tried a different mixture on out filets and the first thing my husband ask was " What did you do different to the filets? It taste different. I like the other stuff you have been using." I searched in local stores and wasn't able to find it and then searched the internet. I ordered two each of the salt and pepper. Guess what is for dinner tomorrow? Filets on the grill with Paula Dean salt and pepper mix. I also use both on grilled salmon-- Yum Yum
