Have your buyer work with supplier

Several of the bags I've received in the last few months are NOT airtight. The flavor is ruined. I've tried reporting this to your customer line with no apparent success. Is it the packing machine? Is it the package? Maybe it's been fixed by now, I don't know... all I do know is that I've been drinking this coffee for years and now since Sept of 2008 it's been inconsistent.

EXPERIENCE THE BEST AT HOME

by Patrice, WA
April 16, 2009

Seattle: 1989
When Torrefazione Italia opened their Olive Street cafe I had the opportunity to experience a very special coffee in an ambience that has not been replicated in Seattle since. The Italian family that owned Torrefazione Italia company also made your coffee drinks and ran the cafe. It was family and they made you welcome. It was a true Italian experience.

The first time I entered the cafe I was surrounded by the rich smell of Torrefazione's coffee, the sound of the Italian language being spoken and feel the need to stop, sip and savor the moment.

Torrefazione Italia displayed their coffee beans in the same porcelain ware they served their coffee beverages in and you were welcome to smell the beans and learn about their product..
My nose fell in love with the Palermo beans. I can tell a good wine by the smell and my nose was on point when it chose the Palermo beans.

The Palermo blend is a rich fill bodied coffee I can enjoy everyday or on special occasions with a fine liqueur.

The ground Palermo blend arrived fresh, and smelled like it did when I was able to buy the Palermo beans in the Torrefazione's cafe.
I'm so happy Cooking.com has Torrefazione Italia's product available. Could they not also have the Palermo available in bean form?

The above was a real and personal experience.
Please try Torrefozine's Palermo blend.
Simple pleasures are the richest.

This is the only coffee we drink at this house. We've been ordering it "whole bean" but you only offered the "ground" this time. Please try to stock the "whole bean" coffee for next time. Thanks

Not as good as the whole bean!

I'm really upset they discontinued the whole bean Palermo blend. This ground version is not a good substitute.

A Perfect Dark Roast coffee

by Everett, OR
September 28, 2009

The only coffee we have brewed for five years. Bold and dark-roasted without tasting "charred." We're glad that Cooking.com has sold Torrefazione Palermo since Starbuck's bought them out, and therefore can no longer buy directly from TItalia. Our shipments from Cooking.com are prompt, and the beans are always fresh. Thank you.

Say Goodbye to Palermo

by Robert, NY
November 7, 2009

This ground coffee is nothing like the aromatic whole-bean Palermo that used to be available. It's not a bad coffee, but no longer the stuff of legend.

Fantastic coffee at a fantastic price.

I used to pay $15.00 for one 12oz bag of this coffee at Safeway. My husband and I have been drinking it for years.
Then I smartened up and did an online search and found it here for about $8.00 a 12oz bag.
I check, periodically, for the bonus bag promotion...you get 4 for the price of 3.
I think it's usually around Thanksgiving time.

Delicious. Ran into this brand at some swanky upscale hotel a few years ago and tracked it down here on cooking.com. Ordering online works out to be about the same as buying a few pounds at starbucks or peets but i love the taste so much more. get it.

Disappointed in the Ground Version

by Michelle, BC
December 22, 2008

While we were happy to find the Palermo coffee, the ground version isn't as good as the whole bean version. I didn't realize that I had ordered the ground coffee and so was surprised when I opened the package. The first few pots were okay but later pots have lost their flavour. This is the problem with purchasing pre-ground coffee. We still have 3 bags to finish before we order again. When we do, we hope that it will be for the Whole Bean coffee.

Truly delicious coffee!

by LEO, IL
January 13, 2009

Stop looking, Torrefazione Italia is the best tasting coffee out there. Starbucks knew they had a real competitor on their hands, so they bought the retail operation to put it out of business. But the coffees are still being roasted, and Cooking.com is one of the few remaining sources for it, and the best deal. Your guests will rave about the taste, both robust and sublime. Infinitely complex, like a fine red wine. This particular blend, Palermo, has a lovely nose and a fully satisfying finish. Comes in beans and ground coffee, perfectly vacuum sealed. Careful when you buy - 1 order is three 12-ounce bags, not 3 pounds.

For me, there's nothing better than Italian coffee and all of Torrefazione's coffee live up to the high standard. I love that the blends are named for the various cities, it reminds me of my Italy trip and all the fun I had at various cafes.
