This is a coffee for persons who really enjoy the taste of good coffee. It is pricey, but will deliver the enjoyment expected.I prefer the flavor produced when the coffee is made in a French Press over that in the Drip coffee maker. If made too strong, it will have a bitter flavor. Adding more water solves the problem.

This coffee has the full body flavor that I've tasted in finer restaurants. It is truly hard to find a better tasting coffee.

These beans make the best espresso you can make at home. It truly rivals the espresso you'll order in Italy. Wonderful crema, not bitter, delightful flavor.

We've also used the beans for regular brewed coffee. If you like a full flavored, strong coffee, these beans are great.

We have missed this coffee since our local Torrefazione Italia coffee shop closed. We have been unable to find anything that matched the smoothness and richness of this coffee. I am thrilled that Cooking.com is carrying it. It reminds me of sitting in a little cafe in Florence every morning. We are now spoiled and can drink no other espresso.

Torrefazione whole beans

by Darrel, WA

Until a month ago, I was able to purchase Perugia blend whole-bean coffee at many supermarkets in Seattle. Suddenly, the markets began to carry only ground coffee. Torrefazione many years ago had shops in Seattle and Portland, and the espresso served there was made with Perugia. I make espresso at home: Perugia blend comes very close to the typical excellent espresso one can take in any bar in northern Italy.

Brand Loyalty!

by Timothy, ME

I was introduced to Torrefazione products whilst on vacation in Victoria BC some years ago. The coffee shops were really cool and I think it is sad they have gone, they were distinguished amongst the competition. So hooked by the quality we had our relatives send us parcels of beans by post. We became regular clients when Torrefazione started the web based mail order and again were disappointed when that folded. So imagine our delight at discovering that Cooking.com carried Perugia Beans!
We enjoy Perugia as our regular morning brew in the filter machine, as well as an occasional expresso. It is a superior product, smooth, rich with no bitterness or cloudy after flavours. No one could say this is a cheap coffee but in my opinion, it does represent good value for the money. It is a luxury that we will always try to afford!

This Italian coffee is delicious either for espresso or a regular cup brewed in my Meile machine and so we are going through it too quickly!

Torrefazione Perugia

this is one of, if not, the finest coffee that one can get in the USA without importing beans from the Cafe known as Tazza D'Oro in Rome, Italy. I am a coffee expert and the Perugia blend is one of the best. I am/ we are lucky you carry it.

Product great, packing lacking

by Thomas, VA
April 26, 2009

I am enjoying the Perugia Blend I ordered.

Your packaging left something to be desired. Were I not paying for delivery I might find the minimal packing material a little more acceptable. However, the beans arrived loose in there individual bags meaning that the bags had lost their seal. This of course compromises the freshness of the product.

Overall I am very pleased with the service, products available through Cooking.com.

Best Coffee Ever!

by Sheryl, WA
June 13, 2009

We have the good fortune of living in the Pacific Northwest, and have been drinking Torrefazione's Perugia blend since the days long before their purchase by Starbucks. It was fabulous then and remains so today.

We love the full-body flavor of Perugia that is robust but still smooth. I have yet to find another coffee that rivals it in flavor.

Sadly our local suppliers are gradually disappearing so I was thrilled to find that Cooking.com was carrying it, and the price was still reasonable for a premium coffee. Hopefully they will continue to offer it for many, MANY years to come.

Perugia Blend by Torrefazione Rocks!

by James, FL
July 1, 2009

Perugia Blend Coffee Beans by Torrefazione Italia are, without the slightest doubt, the best coffee we've ever tried. We found it by accident while staying in a Seattle hotel last year and have used nothing else since then. We are reluctant to buy coffee at any of the many coffee shops simply because it never measures up to the rich, strong, yet mellow favor and aroma of Perugia Blend made in a french press at home.
