I love these little peelers. My hands are small. They are a good fit for me. This is my second set of peelers - first one was for me, now this set as a birthday gift for a friend who also has small hands.
I absolutely LOVE these peelers. I've gone through so many different brands of peelers and they go dull so fast. These are sharp and produce smooth and QUICK results. I love peeling a whole bag of potatoes in just minutes. BUY THESE! Stop looking around! Buy them!
The Swiss Peelers by Kuhn Rikon are the best peelers I have ever used. My fingers are bent due to a disease Called Scleroderma, and these peelers work great for me. They are easy to use and easy to hold. I just love them.

I finally found a "new & colorful" peeler that works, and is ergonomic to boot! I had a peeler like this that I found at a "garage sale" in the late '70's, and when it broke 2 years ago, I wanted the same style & easy & effective peeler, but hadn't been successful in finding it....until now! I don't know why I need 3, but will have back ups if any break.
But I did notice, though, that they get rusty when left to drip dry, so the longevity of the sharpness is some concern. The great thing is there are 3 of them to rotate around. Also nice when two or more fam members are peeling & cooking. The plastic handle is a bit light with a 'Dollar Store' feel to them, but still very comfy in the hand.
I found these peelers to be sub-par. The blade rotates as you try to peel an object and doesn't complete the full stroke. Once the peeling action has taken place, the peel itself stays in the blade and obstructs the next peeling action.
I would NOT recommend item.
My Thanksgiving assignment was to bring a sweet potato casserole, which gave me my first chance to use one of my peelers.
I chose the red one, in honor of the holidays. The small size gave me terrific control over peeling those eight weirdly-shaped yams. I'm left handed and these peelers are truly ambidextrous, just as advertised. The blade is very sharp, which made peeling a lickety-split process.
I love these little peelers. Who knew peeling potatoes could actually be fun?
Coming from Switzerland many, many years ago, I brought some of those peelers with me. Over the years I have given them away and was down to just one. I was so happy to be able to find them here, as I wanted to give one for my friend. She wa surprised at the power of this little gadget.
Swiss peelers are by far the best item to have in a kitchen, and I'm not prejedous. I'm also very glad that it is an item not yet made in China or elsewhere.
Thank you for your ease and speed with this order.
looked all over our town for these peelers and couldn't find them. these are the best peelers i've ever used. they are small for small hands (also a bit arthritic. most handles are too fat but these are perfect. i was going to share at least 1 of these with a friend but, loved them so much will keep them to myself. thank you
This is my second order for these peelers. My first order I had kept 2 for myself and gave one to my daughter but somehow one of the two I kept wound up getting tossed in the garbage so with only one that would never do.
Then I ordered this next set and I'm keeping all three for my greedy self.
I recently received my order I placed on "cooking.com" and was very happy with the process. The product I bought however, was problematic. I selected the "Swiss Peelers" (3 peelers per order) by Kuhn Rikon thinking they would be a real addition to my kitchen. Of the 3 peelers, one is TOTALLY bogus. it doesn't peel carrots, it shreds them, it doesn't peel potatoes, it turns them into a starchy mess of mush in my hands. The blade either is either 1) NOT sharp or 2) Installed incorrectly or 3) an all-in-all bad product.
I would very much like to return it ... but not sure HOW-TO-RETURN one item.
It WAS a deal for the price ... BUT in the end ... when you get only 2 "usable" peelers instead of the 3 peelers I paid for, I no longer think the deal is so great.
