by Melanie, LA

I love these little peelers. My hands are small. They are a good fit for me. This is my second set of peelers - first one was for me, now this set as a birthday gift for a friend who also has small hands.

I absolutely LOVE these peelers. I've gone through so many different brands of peelers and they go dull so fast. These are sharp and produce smooth and QUICK results. I love peeling a whole bag of potatoes in just minutes. BUY THESE! Stop looking around! Buy them!

Swiss Peelers

The Swiss Peelers by Kuhn Rikon are the best peelers I have ever used. My fingers are bent due to a disease Called Scleroderma, and these peelers work great for me. They are easy to use and easy to hold. I just love them.

Original Swiss Peelers Are The Best

by Jean, MA
November 12, 2010

I have a similar peeler (made with aluminum instead of plastic) which I love, but I've been looking for a replacement to use immediately when my present one "bites the dust". I've been searching for quite a while and was very pleased to find the Original Swiss Peelers online at the Food Network Store. They're a good replacement for my present peeler, and they're an extremely good value, and TERRIFIC to use on butternut squash! Thank you.

Found at last

by Mary, NY
November 30, 2010

Years ago I received a small peeler free with a purchase of some other item at our local county fair. I don't know what the other item was now, but I was still using the peeler although it had become dull and discolored. I loved it because it was easy to hold and did a good job. I looked for years to find another like it but didn't until now at the food network store. I'm so pleased that I finally found them.

Skeptical when first purchased, but they proved to be excellent! Ones I've bought in grocery stores and other well known chain stores were not paring vegetables and simply made mush out of whatever was being cut. These little guys were fantastic and comfortable to use. They clean easily also.

Hard to find this style peeler, but it is the only kind I want to use. I've lost little corners of a finger with the other style peelers, but have never had an injury with these. luv em

Good peelers, but the blades rust

by Aaron, NY
February 9, 2011

When these little peelers arrived in the mail, they had blue transparent tape over the blades. I assumed for safety, but now I wonder. The first time I washed them, the blades rusted.

I love how they work - peeling is a breeze. The wide blade is much more effective in this construction than a standard design peeler. But I just wish the company would design a blade with a coating that won't rust! I'm not sure how long they'll last because of this, and wonder if I overpaid.

These are the greatest peelers around. We had an old one around and it out performed a new one of a different style so we ordered new ones for our married kids and their wives.

I had a peeler like this before and lost it. I was thrilled to find it at Cooking.com. It is small and lightweight, not bulky like the ones that are popular in stores. It is always sharp and ready for the task at hand. Thanks for carrying this peeler.

2 of 3 ... the odds aren't good

by Mark, NY
February 17, 2011

I recently received my order I placed on "cooking.com" and was very happy with the process. The product I bought however, was problematic. I selected the "Swiss Peelers" (3 peelers per order) by Kuhn Rikon thinking they would be a real addition to my kitchen. Of the 3 peelers, one is TOTALLY bogus. it doesn't peel carrots, it shreds them, it doesn't peel potatoes, it turns them into a starchy mess of mush in my hands. The blade either is either 1) NOT sharp or 2) Installed incorrectly or 3) an all-in-all bad product.

I would very much like to return it ... but not sure HOW-TO-RETURN one item.

It WAS a deal for the price ... BUT in the end ... when you get only 2 "usable" peelers instead of the 3 peelers I paid for, I no longer think the deal is so great.

Swiss Peeler

by Esther, NV
September 3, 2011

Coming from Switzerland many, many years ago, I brought some of those peelers with me. Over the years I have given them away and was down to just one. I was so happy to be able to find them here, as I wanted to give one for my friend. She wa surprised at the power of this little gadget.
Swiss peelers are by far the best item to have in a kitchen, and I'm not prejedous. I'm also very glad that it is an item not yet made in China or elsewhere.
Thank you for your ease and speed with this order.
Sincerley,
Esther

Cute little miracles

by Christine, TX
November 27, 2011

My Thanksgiving assignment was to bring a sweet potato casserole, which gave me my first chance to use one of my peelers.

I chose the red one, in honor of the holidays. The small size gave me terrific control over peeling those eight weirdly-shaped yams. I'm left handed and these peelers are truly ambidextrous, just as advertised. The blade is very sharp, which made peeling a lickety-split process.

I love these little peelers. Who knew peeling potatoes could actually be fun?
