Rings like these give English muffins their characteristic shape. They are often preheated with the griddle, then batter is spooned into them and the muffins are cooked on one side before the rings are removed and the muffins flipped over to finish cooking. Packaged four to a box, the rings can also be used to make perfectly round pancakes and sunny-side up eggs, or they can double as biscuit cutters.

  • MOST HELPFUL REVIEWS:

  • Cheap, Not Inexpensive

The muffin rings are made of tin, and are extremely low in quality. They do not hold their shape at all well, and rust quickly, even when hand-washed and dried.

You'd be better off cutting the ends off of a tuna can.

  • Great tool for wheat intolerant people

In the two weeks since I received these rings I've made two batches of ciabatta hamburger buns and two batches of gluten free almond milk ice-cream sandwiches. The possiblities are endless. They come off the baked good easily and wash well. My only complaint is that they're not four inches.

    I recommend this product.

  • Good rings bought on a whim

I found a recipe for muffins and decided I needed rings to make them properly. These work very well and they are thin enough to heat very quickly, so the heat can be reduced. They say they work for eggs as well, but I haven't been bold enough to try it yet. Good for the job at hand.

    I recommend this product.

  • English muffins for less...

I love to cook and decided to try my hand at English Muffins. I finally found a great recipe and these rings are the perfect tool for cooking them on my griddle. They are great, too, for eggs that we put on the muffins to make our version of a McDonald's Egg McMuffin.

    I recommend this product.

  • Simple to use, easy to care for.

Well oiled, (either spray or butter), my baked batters slipped out easily when done. (I made crumpets and english muffins). Hand washing and drying was a snap (like the old days, when dishwashers were not so common place)and I haven't had a bit of a rust problem like so many of the other web sites reviews had mentioned. I do place the clean rings on a clean baking sheet and place them in a cooling down oven (using the rest of the heat from baking) to dry the rings completely just to make sure.

    I recommend this product.

  • Item as promised

I looked all over for English muffin rings and either they were insanely expensive or the shipping was over the top. These rings were fair priced and the shipping was reasonable. They were shipped very quickly. I have used them to make English muffins, eggs and other ringed dishes. They work great.

  • so much better...

after seeing the recipe for english muffins on good eats i tried to make some rings using tuna cans like the episode suggests. it was impossible to cut the bottoms of the cans off with a can opener so i had to use a cheap knife( i didnt want to ruin a good knife). this made the can bottoms very sharp so we bent them over with pliers. bc of this the batter stuck in the bent over part making them impossible to clean and very unsanitary. THESE RINGS ARE MY SAVIOR!!! they are perfect for the job and easy to clean. they are worth every penny!!! i bought two sets for large batches.
