I have some of the other types of knives that Wusthof makes and have always been pleased so was excited to be able to try their steak knives. Was not disappointed!

What was I thinking?

I bought these because of the retail price versus the deal I was getting on this site... which was a considerable savings.... They are very thin and I think may discolor in the dishwasher.

Didn't cut the steak.

I have a set of Wustof that I was adding to. My original wood block had one steak knife, one paring knife, etc. The new paring knifes cut great. However, the steak knife didn't easily cut the steak.

This was purchased as a gift.

Ihave purchased these knives before and they are amazingly sharp, wonderful. Keep your fingers out of the way!

Knife quality

The knives look great and similar to my other knives but the metal is thiner and cheaper and it does not have the quality feel.

I thought I was replacing the original knives that came with my set. These are, without question, a Less expensive version of the high-quality product I expected. Disappointing.......and they don't match those I had. MHMcGC

These are for a gift to be given at Christmas however, I have some and they are good value and well suited to cutting steak..

Love Wusthoff knives!

I began using Wusthof knives a little more than a year ago. Prior to that I have had Chicago Cutlery, Henkels and a variety of others. What a difference well manufactured knives make. I love the steak knives as much as my other knives, which are the "Classic" series. My advice to the begining cook, as well as any who have been at it a while and are thinking of replacing their knives is buy the best quality once, or pay even more money for multiple replacements throughout the years. I will never use any other brand again!

Wusthof - the name says it all

When I saw the sale on Wusthof knives, I jumped at the chance to get some decent steak knives. I know the brand; I have other Wusthof knives and am very, very happy. These are super sharp, a bit lighter in the hand than I expected, but they cut like a razor. I am very happy with my purchase. It's much wiser to buy the knives that you really need rather than to buy sets that seem like a bargain but are of a lesser quality.

I'm sure the blade is adequate, but the handle seems hollow, lightweight and doesn't feel good in the hand. Not worth the money in my opinion.

These knives have served us well over the years. I love the classic, simple look, just purchased 4 more to add to our knife set, and new, larger block. They sharpen well, and stay sharp for a long time.
