They do take up more space on the grill than straight kabob skewers, which could be a problem if you need to cook a large number at once. I also found turning them to be a little awkward at first. Two sets of tongs were needed to turn without items sliding off the end. It just takes some practice, but the presentation is worth it.

My son's made shrimp with them and they were very easy for them to use and it made the presentation a little fancier. They were fun, decorative and functional. I would recommend them to friends.
