The lids leak no matter how tight they are screwed on. They leak right out of the box. I hand washed them and put them on a few jars of soup that were being transported in a small cooler, and they all leaked. I threw them out.

These caps are awesome! It makes transportation of liquids so much easier. And once my "canned" goods have been opened, it's great having these lids to replace the bands with.

I have been using these lids for several months now and recently ordered another set. I'm trying to use less plastic storage and disposable goods in my kitchen so these are really useful. I store dry goods in jars with these lids, switch to these lids for refrigerator storage after opening a home canned jar, and use them as lids for freezer safe jars when storing frozen foods. The rows of jars make my pantry look clean and I can always see what I have on hand and how much. It is true that these lids are not necessarily spill proof when it comes to liquids, but I don't use them in a way that requires that feature so I love them.

Love these lids. Great for jars you keep in the refrig. I use to find these at the store with the canning jars, but haven't seen them this year. Everyone should keep some of these lids on hand.

If you can't get a PB or mayo top, these BPA free lids are a good option, esp for storing high acid foods after you open the canning jar
