Would have liked a note re proper treatment of wood, i.e. treatment with mineral oil, etc to keep the wood fresh?

I ordered Paula Deen signature rooster shaped cutting board because my kitchen is a rooster decor. I am very pleased with it's quality and it is always on my counter.

If you are in to farmstead kitchens this cutting board is a must. I really hate to cut on it but that is what it is for!!!!!
