LOVE IT! I've had the Oster stand mixer with all the wonderful attachments they offered for the past 20+ years. It was great but I've aqlways wanted to upgrade to the more powerful Kitchenaid stand mixer. Hubby bought it for me (happy birthday!) and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! So powerful and all of the attachments adding to it's efficacy. I also love the look of this unit on my counter ;)

After a year, lubricant started to leak out around the band where the product name is located. After contacting KitchenAid we decided to dispose of the mixer because of the shipping cost to send it back and the cost to replace the broken parts wasn't worth the expense. We purchased another brand that I liked well enough but it wasn't a KitchenAid. So, with the KitchenAid Elite I hope that we have no issues with lubricant leaking and getting into the food in the bowl. If this item fails yet again, I will step away from this product and find another that is more dependable and reliable.

The design might look old but the mixer has been kept up to date and innovations of the attachments show it. A work horse that never gets tired and is quick to clean after a days use.

I have this pistachio colored malt maker, given to me by my Grandparents 35 years ago. Looks very cool in my kitchen. I have used my stand mixer several times and am impressed with the ease of using and the easy clean up. My stand mixer is my new kitchen slave that does a wonderful job.

I am enjoying the newer model's features-handle on the bowl, feed guard, etc. All in all, I find that the mixer and its capabilities to be very similar to my old model that I passed on to a friend since it was still working very well.

Easy, to work, easy to add ingredients, easy to mount, dismount, switch blades. Very smooth operation. My only grump is that it is difficult to clean the blades, but a certain amount of that is to be expected.
