Gift wrap is available for this item. Item #599658
We drink a cup of coffee a day each, when we made coffee in our old maker we always seemed to make a full pot and poured out most of it, we just stoped using it all together. With this one cup maker it takes up less room on the counter, is attractive and my wife loves it. The maker can make up to a full 20 oz if wanted or less, thats me, about 12 oz's at a time.
The item is exactly as presented. The Item is easy to use, cleans up easily, and has a very small counter footprint. Coffee perks up quickly and hot. Thermal mug addition was very key for us in buying this. We us it at the office, and it already saving us time and money.
I had been searching for a one serve coffeemaker that did not use coffee pods. Like that I can determine kind and strength of coffee I want.

The streamlined modern design of this coffee maker first caught my eye. It was the perfect gift for my husband's office. It's simple to use and fast, and best of all, the liquid is super-hot, not lukewarm or scalding. The travel mug is lightweight, yet substantial enough to keep its contents fresh for a long time. Would recommend this item over other popular single-serve brands.
We purchased this product 3 months ago and over the Thanksgiving week when we had out of town company staying with us (we showed them how to use this coffeemaker as they are up earlier than we are) and it died. I called Kitchen Aid as it is under warranty. They suggested that I should clean it out once a month by running vinegar through it to keep the water deposits from damaging the machine. That it probably was the cause of the problem. I had done that to no avail. They sent me a replacement which we received last week and we noted that once a month we must run a vinegar rinse through it. The cons are: I don't think the coffee is quite hot enough. I had a hard time hearing the beeper that signals when coffee is done brewing, although the new one is louder. The coffee maker continues to drip a little for a while after coffee is brewed and light goes off so I keep a paper towel on the cup stand. I use a funnel in the opening for pouring in the water as the cup is always dribbling out water down the side. (May be me) We gave one to my son for his birthday before ours stopped working. I hope he has better luck. The pros are: My husband and I drink different brews. Caffeine and half Caff. We can make our coffee stronger as we like and not so strong for company if that is their choice. It is attractive. It is convenient in that you can personalize how many ounces of coffee you want to make for yourself. It is less expensive to make coffee in this vs. the Keurig although we do have a keurig cup. (who wants to clean that? Harder than the Kitchenaid to clean). One reason I purchased this is that it is a Kitchenaid product. They stand behind their guarantees and are very pleasant to deal with. They sent me a new machine and a free shipping label to return the bad one. There was no arguing. I have dealt with them before on a product and it was just as pleasant then.
