Best ever wife loves it

Heat distribution across the grilling grid is poor. Temperature varied about 150 degrees F., from the heating element to the grid edge after about 10-15 minutes pre-warm. This resulted in burnt meat. Only way to combat this issue was to constantly turn the meat from inside to outside. This technique attempted to uniformly heat the meat without burning. Technique worked to some degree but required constant monitoring. Considered returning grill but no longer had exterior packaging and did not have time to track down a substitute so keeping product but writing this experience up to 'lessons learned'. Don't toss out the packing material until product has performed as expected!!

Smart Smokeless Indoor Grill

I have used it twice now . It does a good job and is almost smokeless . I plan to use it again this weekend for sausage and brats .

I just got this grill, and using it once is hardly an opinion maker! At first light,it seems a bit flimsy, not too well made. However after using ti a bit, it all good. The drip tray could be somehow latched into place making the apparatus more stable overall. I like it so far. I'll be able to tell more after this weekend when I grill some Kabobs, and some chicken parts.

The fact that the product is not imersable is totally unacceptable. it is very hard to clean, other than that I like it very much.

Smokeless ? ? ?

I have only used it once. So I will have to see if it keeps smoking. The whole room filled with smoke . . . had to open the windows. I made sure to follow the directions to the T . . . . I wanted to be sure this thing was smokelss, and was disappointed to find that it did indeed smoke. My next use will be in the garage. The no answers above I would rather say "I don't know, at this point." I truly was sorry to see it smoking.

I enjoy grilling on this grill.

This grill is great for grilling boneless chicken, fish and hamburgers. It is easy to clean, when you spray before grilling.

Simple, basic electric grill

used once; bit of an issue with inserting thermostatic control; cooked well; good control; heats up fast

Very good product; received as advertised

Have enjoyed using it for two weeks.

Grilling is no longer a seasonal affair.

Although chicken, kebabs, hamburgers and vegetables cook well with this grill, not so for steak. I love being able to grill indoors regardless of the season or weather.

The thermostat control on the unit is not very reliable. The grill plate does not hold heat efficiently. The grill surface is adequate for small amounts of food, so it works well for single or perhaps two sandwiches. Overall, I have not been well impressed.

Quality and honesty

Very much disappointed , very flimzi and not a Betty Crocker grille. One of my neighbors has one and stamped Betty Crocker and is heavy and solid very well made.not like I just got, I am sorry but I am very disappointed in the quality.

Pleased with the product

I am very pleased with this product, which does what it says it will do: the food tastes as if it was grilled on a gas grill and the cooking is truly smokeless. The grill cleans well after soaking. It would be nice if the product came with some kind of cover for the food for those times when you'd put the cover down on a regular grill, but you can improvise. I'd definitely recommend this grill.

Some issues with Smart Smokeless Grill

I like using the indoor grill, but took some tries to get used to it. First make sure that it is under a vent. It does smoke even with water so if you don't want the Fire Dept at your house use a vent right over the grill. I like the results it gets and I will continue to use it.

Barbecued chicken

I have only used it once and that was with chicken thighs but I believe the thighs were juicier than usual.

Smokes

In spite of ad "does not smoke" it set off the fire alarm.

Indoor Grill

As I read previously, it wasnt 100% smokeless even with filling bottom tray with water as the items cooking released fluids or with basting any of them, uopn making contact with the hot grill, it smoked a bit. Cleaning would be ideal in dish washer but not everyone owns one so be prepared to clean in betwen grills for a while if you dont own one. That was a major PITA. The heat sensor appeared to turn on until it reached the desired temp, then turn off, but kept turning back on to maintain the heat. I wasnt able to determine how much threashold there was from time it reached, until the duration it was off, then back on. Not sure how much the temp fluxuated between these steps. I did feel however that I had to cranck it to a higher number to get the items to grill as I wanted to, not as the book says that it came with. Overall, its a nice product to have on rainy days and when you want to get the desired grill marks. I personally think I would of prefered for the grill to be closed and not open, with deep enough 'fins' to allow grease onto a run-off tray or something like that instead of dripping onto a bottom tray with water that you then have to wash too.

I love this indoor grill. It did smoke just a little the first time we used it but after that, it was great !!!
