Oxo is one of my favorite brands, and hands down this is the best canopener I've ever used. It may take a little getting used to (esp. since cans still look sealed until you use the little pliers to pull off the lid), but once you do, you'll never want another canopener again.

This has got to be the best manual can opener I've ever used. Since the cutting blade never touches the contents of the can, it always remains clean and sanitary, The handles and knob are comfortable and easy to hold. And it's true - no sharp edges. Highly recommended and well worth the price.

Oh my gosh!!! This is the best can opener I've ever used. I've had a couple of this type (other brands) and they don't even come close to being as good as this one. I highly recommend this can opener.

The first time I tried to use this can opener, I dropped the can! But once I figured out how it worked I became a believer. This is a wonderful product. I have lups and opening cans used to be really difficult and painful and this makes it a cinch. And I guess I could have always gotten an electric one but I don't have that much counter space and I can stow this one away in my utensil drawer. In fact, I like it so much I'm buying one for my mom.

Almost Ultimately Perfect Can Opener

The ONLY flaw in this can opener is that the “grip” to actually open and unseal a can is easily undetected [and thus the reason for rating it a “4” and not a perfect “5”].
The handle size is so perfect that this is THE can opener for anyone with arthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome. There are no sharp edges, whatsoever, and there is absolutely no possibility of the can top falling down into the can and contaminating its contents.
I purchased this can opener for myself two years ago. I have since purchased several as gifts for friends and family members who own anything different than this particular can opener.
Truly a simple little kitchen gadget that one must have – and one which you will not be able to go without having after using it just once or twice.

Since I have carpal tunnel - I was having difficulties with every hand held can opener I had until I found this one. It is the easiest, once you get the hang of it and it does not put any pressure on my wrist.

Great product, easy to hold. Love the small plyers that can grip the edge of the can. It still is a bit hard to open large cans, (I have a touch of arthritis in both hands.) I still love it. It does all other cans with ease. I love that it opens those zip pop top cans. I recycle and must have a clean edge so I can wash it out without cutting my fingers. It took me a couple of tries to open a cat food can. I just had to look to see where I was putting the blade part. After that, it was no problem at all.

Great for most can opening chores. But there are times when I need a lid opened from the inside (as with tuna fish cans so as to squeeze the liquid out) so I like it very much, but not throwing my other opener away.
