Savory soups and one-pot clambakes are easy to prepare when you have this Le Creuset Enamel on Steel Stockpot. This sturdy pot is made of heavy-gauge steel that disperses heat evenly to ensure there are no hot spots, giving you consistency you can rely on meal after meal. The pot works equally well on gas, induction and electric stoves, and it heats up quickly whether you're boiling vegetables, preparing chicken stock or cooking pasta. The enamel interior coating resists sticking, so food doesn't cling when you're stirring spaghetti sauce or making a roux for gumbo. The tall sides prevent excess evaporation during the cooking process, and the pot comes with a matching lid that helps retain moisture and flavor to create more complex dishes. Two integrated side handles keep everything well balanced when you move the pot from burner to table, and the heat-resistant phenolic knob on the lid stays cool so that you can easily peek inside the pot to check on your food as it cooks.
Attractive pot with three-ring design that matches your other Le Creuset cookware
Enamel-coated steel construction heats up quickly to speed up the cooking process
Easy-to-clean inner surface doesn't retain odors or flavors
Lightweight pot is easy to lift and move even when full
Stainless steel rim helps protect the edge from chipping or cracking
Included lid with heat-resistant knob creates a tight seal to prevent the loss of moisture
Who would ever think there would be so much to selecting a good stock pot? This one is an excellent choice though, and special kudos to cooking.com. First, the pot itself is perfect for soups and stocks. I make a lentil and barley soup the first time I used it, and given the make up of the soup, anything short of perfect heat distribution would have resulted in burning or staining of the interior finish. None of this happened. The soup was perfect, and the pot cleaned up quickly and easily. As to cooking.com, they had this pot on sale during the Christmas season. It was out of stock, and when it had come back in, it was back to regular price, even though a customer service person had said it would still be at the sale price. To keep it short, when I brought this up, cooking.com honored the sale price. That is sizzling customer service. Great product, great retail company, great service. What more can you ask?
This is my first really nice, (read expensive) stock pot. I have had cheap ones over the years, always saying next time...well I spent more and it was worth it! The quality is there, no chips or cracks, and it is a beautuful pot. This is also a nice heavy pot that does everything you'd expect. I have made 3 batches of soup since I got it and am ready for more!
I got this to make a kind of tea, that could only be done in glass, enameled, or porcelain. I look all over and and shoped around and I decided that this Stockpot would do for me. I have not only used it the the tea I use it for stews. I love it love the color too. Carol Ann in New Mexico
This pot is very attractive and looks great sitting on my stovetop. It adds to my kitchen decor instead of detracting, as some pots and pans do. It is also just the right size for my needs. I am very pleased with my purchase.
I didn't know that Le Creuset had an enameled stainless steel line in addition to their enameled cast iron pots. I love the original cast iron stockpots and dutch ovens, but the larger sizes are too heavy for me to lift safely. This 8 quart stockpot is large enough for my soup and stew cooking needs, heavy enough for slow, even cooking with no sticking, yet lightweight enough for my old hands to lift when full. The regular price would have been a good buy, but I got this on sale. What a fabulous bargain!
I have this pot sitting out on top of my stove and I have received many compliments on it from visitors. It's a perfect size, cleans easily, is very pretty and I can't say enough great things about it!
It's beautiful with a simmering soup or steaming vegetables...it even looks pretty sitting empty on my stove top! The quality of Le Creuset is just unbeatable and the colors are great. I've decided to mix and match the colors. Although the price point of Le Creuset can be higher than other brands, it's worth it. This is the stuff of kitchen memories for you and your loved ones.
This stockpot was a present for my wife, balancing the name recognition and quality of Le Creuset with the lighter weight compared to their cast products. She is delighted with the appearance, and having used it only once so far for a stew, is equally pleased with it's (stovetop) cooking characteristics and ease of washing.
I love this pot! I made a huge shrimp chowder for a church gathering and it had to be reheated in the pot. It performed like a champ. There was no burning or scorching of the chowder or the pot. Holds the heat for a long time and cleans beautifully. I would buy this product over and over again. I highly recommend.
Another amazing product by Le Creuset. After years of spending money on relatively inexpensive pots and pans and then throwing them away after 3 or 4 years of use, I wised up and started replacing them with Le Creuset. Le Creuset products are well worth the money because the quality and workmanship are so outstanding I can't see how any piece will ever need to be thrown out. I was concerned that maybe clean-up wouldn't be as easy as the non-stick pots I always used, however you can practically wipe this Stockpot clean after each use. This 8-qt. pot is plenty big enough for a pot of homemade soup or making mashed potatoes using an entire 5 lb. bag of potatoes. I LOVE this pot!!! (Le Creuset products are also safer than Teflon coated cookware as you don't have to worry about your family ingesting pieces of the Teflon coating that have flaked off into the food. For health purposes alone switching to Le Creuset is a wise decision.)
It's a Stock Pot, it's blue, it's made by Le Creuset, it's got two handles and a lid.
There really is not much to say about this product other than it is very well made and performs a basic job very well. We bought it to go with the rest of our Le Creuset pots and pans.
When you buy Le Creuset, you really are buying it for life, these products just last and last. <Insert deity here> forbid should nuclear war reduce this planet to dust, all that will survive will be cockroaches, and Le Creuset pans.
