Very Disappointed

I was so surprised when I used the box grater yesterday. My carrots went every where. I was expecting all of my carrots to go into the measuring compartment. This was the only reason I purchased the grater. It also did not grate as well as I thought it would. One would think for the money, this would be a top of the line grater. Sorry, but you asked for my opinion.

Useful, sturdy and affordable...

This box grater is not only sturdy and sharp - watch your knuckles! - it has unique features that you don't find in other box graters. Namely, the rubber bumpers on the edges and the detachable lidded storage container. Much thought went into the design of this product without a much inflated price!

The grater works really well, very sharp, and I love the box at the bottom that catches the gratings. However, the slicer at the side is by far not wide enough to make nice, even slices of cucumber. Tried to make a salad, it all came out in shreds. Very frustrating! That's why I have to give one point less.

Finally a box grater you can hold comfortably and that doesn't scratch your board or skid around.

Best Grater ever

This is the best grater I have ever owned. It is sharp so it grates very well, yet it cleans up easily too. I really didn't think I would use the little container underneath, but have found that it is really useful when grating a small amount.

The grater is made from stainless steel so I know it will serve me well for years and years. I recommend this grater to everyone.

Good product

Nice little idea to include a little container to grate small amounts into. I used it for orange zest, but also great for hard cheese etc.

Best Grater Out There

This is the best grater I have ever owned. The handle is great. It is easy to hold onto and the measuring cup is a bonus.

Finally, a box grater that stays put on the counter and lets the user grate as little or as much as needed.

My husband and I break graters. Was looking for a simple box grater that would stand up to a lot of use and a man with a strong arm. So far, so good :)

Steamy Kitchen Good Grips Box Grater

My mom taught me to always try new things and was an avid recipe enthusiast! So, I have a deep appreciation for cooking, making, and baking in the kitchen! And, I'm always anxious to find new tools to help me! So, when I won a $25 gift card to Steamy Kitchen I was beside myself! I desperately needed a grater. Not a cheap, flimsy, awkward grater...but something easy to use (and clean) and something handy. I was thrilled to receive the grater so quickly and immediately put it to use shredding zucchini...for bread and freezing! August in Maine means zucchini overload. The Good Grips Box Grater was easy to manipulate and I absolutely love the measurement marked storage container that attaches at the bottom! I know exactly how much I have grated...no second-guessing anymore...or transferring grated food to other containers! Before, I was always collecting stray pieces of food from the floor, counter, and the counter backsplash...not with this grater! Thanks so much for a great quality product that does a thorough job! It cut down on how much time I had to spend on this step while cooking! Thanks, again!

good and sharp

This is well designed with the catch box. Even with the catch box it is stable to use. Very nice.

extra bottom

I liked this product because of the size & what it does, the extra bottome catches all the food that you grate which is kinda cool to not have a mess all over the counter, plus you can store extra cheese in the container too. I just love this product.

I have not used this product yet, but it will be an asset with the container to catch what you grate. I only buy what I really need and sending me options on other items, I just delete. I am 80 and do not spend that much money for items I can't use.

Good Grips Box Grater Revew

The Good Grips Grater was purchased for my daughter-in-law. She had specifically asked for the grater with the container attached. She was delighted when she opened on Christmas morning.

This grater works great for cheese. The handle is real nice to get the proper leverage while grating, and the container you can snap onto the bottom does a great job catching everything. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Wonderful Grater

I knew I would like the grater when I saw it on "Down Home with the Neely's" but now that I have actually used it I don't know how I got along without it. Wonderful product.

Excellent design,handy to use. The little measuring/storage box with cover fits so cleverly into the base of the grater----I was impressed! Then if you have any grated product left over, put the cover on and store in the fridge. Neat!

Love this box grater. I love the way the container catches what you are grating and it stores away inside the grater for easy storage.

It was an acceptable box grater and did the job.
