Just what I was looking for!
This over-the-sink drainer was exactly what I was looking for. It is compact and blends well with my stainless sink. It doesn't stand out like my previous one and dries thing quickly.

This is the second one I have had. It expands so that I can let my dishes drain directlty into the sink. It is also a good height so that I can put my strainer in it when I was fruit or vegetables, too.

I have a double sink but my house is 20 yrs old and the sinks are an odd size. I don't have enough counter space to put a regular dish drainer. I had an over the sink drainer that was made of plastic covered wire that was approx 10 yrs old and was having problems finding another one that would fit my sink. This drainer is adjustable and fits perfectly. It also has a utensil holder and more space than my old drainer. Buy this if you prefer your drainer in the sink instead of taking up space on the counter top.

I know, I know, the ruler is my friend. Instead I used the reviews to judge the width. It fits wonderfully. My last one we had to bend it in order to fit it over the sink. It was wider than I expected though. There isn't a lot of room left in my single sink to wash with, but we are getting used to it. Definitely buy it after you measure how wide you want an over the sink strainer to be. Dishes stack perfectly and the cups for silverware are the right size also.
