IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE USING!!!

REAL LIFE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS...

Q. Too big?
A. Only in outside dimensions. You may find it hard to fit the largest part of the fryer in your dishwasher, but still, it can easily be cleaned by hand, and is the only part that you would rarely need to clean.

Q. Capacity for oil?
A. It is TRUE that you will find a BIG MESS on your counter after the filtering process if you fill the fryer to, or even slightly over the MAX line. I filled the fryer with under 1 gallon up to the max line. One gallon is equal to approximately 4.55 liters, and the fryers capacity is only 3.3 liters. If you're VERY CAREFUL with the oil level, the draining and filtering process works great. But remember, many foods add to the oil level when they are fried. I think the storage container is very well made, but should be designed slighly oversized to compensate for this.

Q. Capacity for food?
A. The heater element as situated in the pan takes up too much space and drastically reduces the frying capacity. Perhaps the pan could have a indent in the bottom center so the element doesn't rest on the pan's flat bottom. The drain could easily be installed in the end of the indent at it's same location. Such a minor design change to fix this problem.

Q. How practical is it?
A. Overall, despite the minor flaws listed above, this is by far the best fryer I have ever used, mostly due to the ease of filtering the oil and cleaning the unit, once you realize that you must be careful with the oil level. Frying for only one or two people with the level at minimum should prove to be no problem, and the overall quality is unsurpassed by any other unit I've used. No cheap plastic levers or knobs to raise and lower the basket, etc. Otherwise, the only thing which is bothersome, is the location of the ready light, hidden behind the tall temperature adjustment knob. The worst location it could be in. It should be easily seen.

This is a great product. I really like how easy it is to clean as all parts are removable. Oil is always clean by using the added automatic oil filtration system.

Makes great french fries in minutes...

Works well, once you figure it out!

The instructions are a little vague, so make sure you work on a safe and protected surface. The first time I filled it and turned it on, it emptied all the oil onto the counter. A lever wasn't all the way in place. There was no warning about this in the instructions. But after the first time, it really has been working well

Easy Storage, Clean up and pretty darn safe

Best little Deep fryer I've ever used. Emeril sells the same machine for $50 more with his logo on the front. The best part is that you can store the oil in the plastic cassette after it cools and then throw the rest (except for the electric element into dishwasher.

Another safety feature that I did not see mentioned is the power cord. It is held on to the back of the heating element magnetically. If you accidentally trip over the cord or the extension cord the plug pops off without tipping a gallon of 374

Fantastic Fryer

I have owned every type of deep fryer that has ever been on the market, and in my opinion this is the best one ever!! It cleans up so easy and draining the oil is the simplest ever. The ready light is a little hard to see behind the control knob, but if you look from the side, you can tell if it is glowing or not. Hopefully T-Fal will change that design a little and make it easier to see. Just don't mess with anything else! It is great!
