Get restaurant-grade food from your home kitchen with this T-Fal Stainless Steel 2.65-lb. Titan Class Pro-Fryer Deep Fryer. This super-sized deep fryer holds roughly 14 cups of oil and has the capacity to fry up to three pounds of food at one time without dropping the oil's temperature. It is equipped with an oversized frying basket that can be filled with your favorite ready-to-fry foods, from doughnuts to onion rings and French fries or fish, and then lowered into the oil vat for fast frying. This fryer is outfitted with an adjustable thermostat so that you can fry your foods at just the right temperature, and a read light that lets you know when the oil is ready for frying. For safety's sake, this fryer has a lever-style handle that allows you to lower and raise the fry basket safely. Unlike its older predecessor, this fryer has an automatic oil-draining feature that drains spent oil into an oil container where it can be stored until you're ready to use the deep fryer again. This saves you money over the cost of buying fresh oil for your fryer every time it's used.

Features:

  • Deep fryer makes almost 3 pounds of food at once so you can make the most use of your time in the kitchen
  • Innovative design allows for oil to automatically drain into a container to be used in the future so you can easily recycle your expensive oil
  • Viewing window on the top of the fryer allows you to easily check the progress of the food inside
  • Equipped with a permanent odor filter

    REAL LIFE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS...

    Q. Too big?
    A. Only in outside dimensions. You may find it hard to fit the largest part of the fryer in your dishwasher, but still, it can easily be cleaned by hand, and is the only part that you would rarely need to clean.

    Q. Capacity for oil?
    A. It is TRUE that you will find a BIG MESS on your counter after the filtering process if you fill the fryer to, or even slightly over the MAX line. I filled the fryer with under 1 gallon up to the max line. One gallon is equal to approximately 4.55 liters, and the fryers capacity is only 3.3 liters. If you're VERY CAREFUL with the oil level, the draining and filtering process works great. But remember, many foods add to the oil level when they are fried. I think the storage container is very well made, but should be designed slighly oversized to compensate for this.

    Q. Capacity for food?
    A. The heater element as situated in the pan takes up too much space and drastically reduces the frying capacity. Perhaps the pan could have a indent in the bottom center so the element doesn't rest on the pan's flat bottom. The drain could easily be installed in the end of the indent at it's same location. Such a minor design change to fix this problem.

    Q. How practical is it?
    A. Overall, despite the minor flaws listed above, this is by far the best fryer I have ever used, mostly due to the ease of filtering the oil and cleaning the unit, once you realize that you must be careful with the oil level. Frying for only one or two people with the level at minimum should prove to be no problem, and the overall quality is unsurpassed by any other unit I've used. No cheap plastic levers or knobs to raise and lower the basket, etc. Otherwise, the only thing which is bothersome, is the location of the ready light, hidden behind the tall temperature adjustment knob. The worst location it could be in. It should be easily seen.

    I recommend this product.

  • This is a great product. I really like how easy it is to clean as all parts are removable. Oil is always clean by using the added automatic oil filtration system.

Makes great french fries in minutes...

  • Works well, once you figure it out!

The instructions are a little vague, so make sure you work on a safe and protected surface. The first time I filled it and turned it on, it emptied all the oil onto the counter. A lever wasn't all the way in place. There was no warning about this in the instructions. But after the first time, it really has been working well

    I recommend this product.

  • Deep Frying Novice loves new fryer

This product was very easy to use. The instructions were clear and the guide for frying items were on point. The first thing I made was fish and chips. The unit operated without any spills or burnt product. The fish and chips were delicious. If you are a deep frying novice and hesitant about purchasing a deep fryer, don't be! It is very easy and now I am no longer a novice!

    I recommend this product.

  • Happy with T-Fal Fryer

As with many of the other reviews, I found this unit does an excellent job as a deep fryer. I've done french fries and battered fish, everything coming out great. I've had it for about a month.

Also, had some problems with the oil filtration/storage system--some leakage on the first attempt. I put the unit on a shallow cookie sheet to contain the lost oil. No major leakage or significant loss, but still potential to make a mess. For french fries, only filtering the oil every fourth or fifth run. For battered fish, I've filtered each time due to the amount of loose batter left in the oil.

Overall, though, I'm very happy with the performance to date.

    I recommend this product.

  • Great Home Fryer

No, it's not a commercial fryer... but it's not advertised to be one. This is an absolutely great fryer for home use. I've used several times and it works great (even made the best fried fish I've ever had). Regarding the size it was actually a little larger than I expected, but is not too big. The oil filtration feature is awesome. Obviously you should wait for the oil to cool completely and if you follow the directions you won't have any spill problems. The price was a little more than I wanted to spend, but the "drain/clean/tell you when to change the oil" feature alone will maximize the oil life/usage and save money in the end. I have nothing negative to say about this product, it does exactly as it's advertised (heats up fast, cleans up easy, etc.). Thank you T-Fal for a great product.

    I recommend this product.

  • Best Home Deep Fryer

This is an excellent deep fryer. It is very easy to change oil. Drains into a lower compartment taht filters it. Pulls out for easy emptying. Oil heats up quickly. Holds at the right temp. I use mine a couple times a week. We eat a lot of fries and fried fish. After my first one I have bought two more for gifts. I'm very happy with mine.

  • WE ARE RETURNING! IT LEAKS OIL LIKE HELL!

I love T-Fal but this product was a HUGE disappointment! it was bigger than I thought, but that wasn't a big deal... it looked nice... I've read all those negative reviews but I thought to give it a try because i wanted a fryer with oil draining system. STUPID ME! oil immediately leaked all over the counter (at least I was prepared thanks to other reviewers! and the oil wasn't hot yet...). Then we tried to drain it the spill on the counter was growing - very few drops go into the container, the rest was collecting on the lid and flowing to the counter... Half of my dinner was cold, the evening ruined...

  • Overall Very Pleased

I was very pleased with the fryer when it arrived. As we assembled it for a practice run, we noticed a couple of things that were wrong with it. When lifting the basket you have a really hard time hooking it with the top closed to prevent being splashed with oil. It really should have had a better ledge to catch it on. Secondly, The top does not secure down very well and when you move the basket at all.
Other than those issues, it has worked extremely well. Assembles quickly, heats quickly, cooks very nicely, drains easily (we had no trouble with drainage at all) and it is beyond easy to clean! It also stores nicely on a pantry shelf which was why we were looking at a narrow design.

    I recommend this product.

  • T-Fal Deep Fryer

The unit was slightly smaller than I had anticipated. Ad said it would hold 2 gallons. It does, but 1 gallon is oil, the other gallon is your food. So the unit will do French Fries, say, for two or three people tops.

Of course, I guess if you want a bigger fryer you'd have to go with a professional on costing $1000. I am happy with the unit, especially since all but the removeable heater element will disassemble and go in the dishwasher!

    I recommend this product.

  • GREAT FIND

When I received the fryer it was larger then I thought it was going to be. I don't have a dishwasher and it was so easy to take apart and clean. I was truly surprised. It does take up a big space so be a little careful about that but other than that, the fryer is wonderful.

  • A clean deep frying experience

Overall the deep fryer has the basics covered. It heats up relatively fast, maintains temp, etc. In short, it works. But what sets it apart is the oil filtration system. I've had had other deep fryers and the truth is I'm pretty lazy about the clean up. I'd pull some big chunks out of the oil and dump it when it got unusable but that's about it. This deep fryer makes it so easy that I clean it fully each time. The oil drains automatically and is filtered and contained. I wipe down the heating element and every thing else goes in the dish washer. It's that easy.

I did see some reviews complaining about overflow spills during the draining process but I think that was merely user error. The unit holds 3.3 liters which for the metrically challenged is less than a gallon. If you pour the whole gallon in you will fill it over the max line. As long as you follow the simple direction of not filling over the max line then it seems to work perfectly.

Cons: It could use a digital temp gauge and timer. The Emeril version has a timer (no digital temp. gauge) but that's not worth the extra $20 - $25.

    I recommend this product.

  • Works as advertised

We've had no problem with the oil leakage described by others in their reviews. I did put a cookie sheet under the fryer just in case, but it wasn't needed.
We're very pleased with the automatic oil filtration and ease of cleaning. Everything except the element and outside casing went in the dishwasher.
We haven't had a chance yet to determine if the capacity is as much as our last fryer.

    I recommend this product.

  • We really like the features of this deep fryer. The oil filter, drain and storage is wonderful. It heats up in good time and holds a good quantity. The cord attaches magnetically which is a great safety feature. Everything goes in the dishwasher (except the element), what's not to love about that! It does take up some space but that is to be expected. I would like to have seen the stainless steel exterior a little thicker, even if it adds to the weight, which isn't bad. I would buy this deep fryer again and now that my brother has seen it I think they are going to get one too.

    I recommend this product.
