Get restaurant-grade food from your home kitchen with this T-Fal Stainless Steel 2.65-lb. Titan Class Pro-Fryer Deep Fryer. This super-sized deep fryer holds roughly 14 cups of oil and has the capacity to fry up to three pounds of food at one time without dropping the oil's temperature. It is equipped with an oversized frying basket that can be filled with your favorite ready-to-fry foods, from doughnuts to onion rings and French fries or fish, and then lowered into the oil vat for fast frying. This fryer is outfitted with an adjustable thermostat so that you can fry your foods at just the right temperature, and a read light that lets you know when the oil is ready for frying. For safety's sake, this fryer has a lever-style handle that allows you to lower and raise the fry basket safely. Unlike its older predecessor, this fryer has an automatic oil-draining feature that drains spent oil into an oil container where it can be stored until you're ready to use the deep fryer again. This saves you money over the cost of buying fresh oil for your fryer every time it's used.

Q. Too big? A. Only in outside dimensions. You may find it hard to fit the largest part of the fryer in your dishwasher, but still, it can easily be cleaned by hand, and is the only part that you would rarely need to clean.
Q. Capacity for oil? A. It is TRUE that you will find a BIG MESS on your counter after the filtering process if you fill the fryer to, or even slightly over the MAX line. I filled the fryer with under 1 gallon up to the max line. One gallon is equal to approximately 4.55 liters, and the fryers capacity is only 3.3 liters. If you're VERY CAREFUL with the oil level, the draining and filtering process works great. But remember, many foods add to the oil level when they are fried. I think the storage container is very well made, but should be designed slighly oversized to compensate for this.
Q. Capacity for food? A. The heater element as situated in the pan takes up too much space and drastically reduces the frying capacity. Perhaps the pan could have a indent in the bottom center so the element doesn't rest on the pan's flat bottom. The drain could easily be installed in the end of the indent at it's same location. Such a minor design change to fix this problem.
Q. How practical is it? A. Overall, despite the minor flaws listed above, this is by far the best fryer I have ever used, mostly due to the ease of filtering the oil and cleaning the unit, once you realize that you must be careful with the oil level. Frying for only one or two people with the level at minimum should prove to be no problem, and the overall quality is unsurpassed by any other unit I've used. No cheap plastic levers or knobs to raise and lower the basket, etc. Otherwise, the only thing which is bothersome, is the location of the ready light, hidden behind the tall temperature adjustment knob. The worst location it could be in. It should be easily seen.
The instructions are a little vague, so make sure you work on a safe and protected surface. The first time I filled it and turned it on, it emptied all the oil onto the counter. A lever wasn't all the way in place. There was no warning about this in the instructions. But after the first time, it really has been working well

Not the best I've owned, but good
Previous to this we had a somewhat similar fryer by a different manufacturer--it had a key element that I really miss--a timer which beeped when the oil was at the right temperature, so ready, and when whatever time you set on it was up. I can use the stove timer for the latter, but have to keep checking to see if the indicator light has gone off for the first, and sometimes you get distracted. I also think this fryer doesn't get as hot as the other one. I haven't checked the actual temperature of the oil with a separate thermometer, but it seems I need to set the fryer's temp a little higher than whatever is recommended for the food I'm cooking. Finally, on the down side--if you use the cleaning function and drain the oil, complete the process immediately. I switched the knob to drain at one point, then forgot I had done it and the next time I turned the fryer on there was some major smoke. I caught it quickly or it could have been bad. It would be nice if the knob was turned to drain the fryer wouldn't go on. Anyway, lesson learned--hopefully. Other than all that it is fine. Isn't making me dance a jig or anything, but it will do.
I was able to fry about twice the amount of food in this fryer basket as opposed to my last appliance. I really like the oil drain feature and that all parts except the heating element are dishwasher safe.
Frying part works very good, but the automatic filtering is a joke. All it does is make a huge mess, by dumping oil over the top of the container. it is about 50-50 as to how much oil actually get into the container.
Best little Deep fryer I've ever used. Emeril sells the same machine for $50 more with his logo on the front. The best part is that you can store the oil in the plastic cassette after it cools and then throw the rest (except for the electric element into dishwasher.
Another safety feature that I did not see mentioned is the power cord. It is held on to the back of the heating element magnetically. If you accidentally trip over the cord or the extension cord the plug pops off without tipping a gallon of 374
This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. It stores easily on our counter and does not take up too much room. The clean up is extremely easy. So far he has enjoyed cooking with it and is very happy with the product.
I have owned every type of deep fryer that has ever been on the market, and in my opinion this is the best one ever!! It cleans up so easy and draining the oil is the simplest ever. The ready light is a little hard to see behind the control knob, but if you look from the side, you can tell if it is glowing or not. Hopefully T-Fal will change that design a little and make it easier to see. Just don't mess with anything else! It is great!
This fryer exceeded my expectations. The oil filter works like a charm and clean up could not be easier. Only comment is that battered food will stick to the basket if the oil has not fully come back up to temp.
This is my first deep fryer so I don't really have anything to compare it to other than pan frying. My favorite feature is the easy clean system. I love the fact that the oil is filtered and ready for another use later with no effort on my part. Most importantly, though, the food we have made in it so far has been excellent. Make sure you keep the oil between the min and max marked on the inside of the fryer. I saw a review on another site where someone complained that he filled it 3/4 full and it overflowed. The max level is probably around 1/3 full. Also, if you fill the basket pretty full with food, take the lid off during frying and give your food a stir with a wooden spoon for even cooking. Overall, I'm very please with my purchase.
the unit does a fine job of deep frying. CONS. The oil container is not large enough. The main fryer frame is not sturdy ,you have to be careful as not to bend it out of shape while cleaning. The deep fyer oil container is very thin, the oil temp quenches very quickly.
Pro: Large capacity, food is fried to crispy perfection Oil filtration really works, I used to pour used oil through a coffee filter in a funnel - not any more! Everything's dishwaser safe (except electronics), makes for a quick clean-up
Con: Don't filter the oil when it's cold - it flows through too quickly and 1/4 of the oil ends up on the counter top, creating a huge mess. It may be hard to find storage space for such a large fryer.
I had a deLonghi deep fryer before, and it was good for awhile. Then I found the T-Fal and so far, it's been great. Even though it has a larger footprint than the deLonghi, it still fits in the same spot in my cabinet for storage. I love the larger (wider and longer) basket. It lets you put more food into it without laying it on top of other pieces of food. And I love the higher temperature. And I love the way the handle stores inside. And I love the side handles that are ample enough to get a good grasp on the fryer. I haven't used the filtration system yet, but if it works like I'm expecting, I'll be thrilled.
I like the way the product works, but the information was so limited. Only told how to fry a few things. Nothing about cooking chicken parts--legs, drumsticks, breasts. Only for french fries, chicken 'tenders', shrimp. Will have to test other foods to learn best way to deep fry.
For anyone who enjoys deep fried foods, this is a must. Eliminates all the drawbacks of this kind of cooking: clean-up, burnt bits in the oil, and burnt tasting food due to use of oil with suspended over cooked food.
