Geat value! Lids fit tightly and window on is a nice feature to see how much is left in the canister. Large canister is big enough to hold a bag of flour, medium canister holds 5 lbs of sugar and we use the small canister to hold tea bags.

This is a nice canister set, solid, with a good seal, but not so much that you have difficulty getting them open. They look classy on the counter. Would buy them again after seeing them.

The cannisters are beautiful, but the lid of the smallest cannister did not have a rubber seal on it. I called Polder directly and they sent me a seal in the mail, but it is the wrong size seal. I'm going to have to call again and request another.

When I broke the lid to my former canister, I needed to get something quickly. I've been very pleased by this set. They hold more than they would appear to, and it is nice to be able to see just how much is left. The bonus is that they are metal, and seal tightly, so I won't be breaking any lids here.

The canisters were great, just what our daughter wanted. We couldn't find them in the stores in our area.

Cheap

by William, PA
September 18, 2009

Canister set was received with pieces thrown in the box, the lid of the small canister was nicked and rusted. The clear window area of the canisters is a very cheap plastic, which will eventually fail. Overall this product is way over priced!

Mixed feelings regarding this product

by Patricia, MA

These canisters are pretty to look at-I had no problems with rusting, or covers not working properly as other reviews had said. However canisters are being sold in sets of 3-which is poor as most people need the fourth one.So I had to buy a second set to get the fourth one and now have 2 extra! It was twice as expensive.I also saw a set on another website for less money than the 1 set of 3- and it had 4 canisters-looked identical to these. The see thru part of the canister is plastic on this set-on the other website-it was glass. Bottom line- they look nice and are functional ,and covers stay on tight. But i wish i had seen the others first and purchased them for less money. Also as usual stainless leaves finger marks!!

Canister set looks much more sturdy than it really is. Metal was very thin and discolored in spots. Looks like something you'd find at a discount store. Was generally disappointed that Food Network would sell this product. Not as large as expected--largest one would not hold a bag of flour. Would not recommend to any other shoppers.

Nice Product

I have two sets of these canisters and like the design. I love being able to see how much is in the canisters without opening them and I like the seal around the lid. I read that some people are having trouble opening the lids but I have not encountered that problem. The only thing I don't like about the canister is the plastic window, not very sturdy.

I thought the canisters for the money would have been made of a better grade of stainless steel. In the photo they look like$50 canisters, when out of the package they appear to be $19 canister set. Definitely disappointed. If I would have picked them up in a regular box store I would have returned them.

Too Light and Hard to Open

by Nicholas, MI
January 10, 2011

Overall, they are plenty large. You can store whatever you want in them and it's nice be able to see how full the container is from the outside. However, without a handle, and having at thin top, it can be extremely difficult to open the top. They are also very lightweight, which makes them easy to carry around. But, if you have something light in them like pasta or dog treats, you have to hold down the base to even be able to open them. Overall, not bad quality, just seems like a bad design.

Great containers

by Monica, ID

These containers are great! I was looking for something big enough to hold flour, sugar etc but not so big that they had to be put in the cupboard because they took up too much space. I love the window on the front.

why are they so expensive?

by Karan, IN

While I really like the great look of my new canisters I am dismayed that they were soooo expensive. Hopefully this will be the only set I will need for the remainder of my adult life and thus I will get my moneys worth.
