The Cuisinart Deluxe Stainless Steel Electric Can Opener opens can with a simple push of a lever. Thanks to its beautiful stainless steel finish, this can opener will look great sitting on your kitchen counter. There's no need to store it after each use. The base is only 6 inches wide, so it won't take up much counter space. Although the base is compact, it's considerably larger than the top of the unit, making it stable. The can opener will sit firmly on your countertop, with no sliding. You'll appreciate the can opener's stability when you open a can of tuna or a can of soup: no liquid will drip onto your counter. A magnetic lid holder keeps a grip on the top of the can for easy removal. Simply grab the lid from the unit and toss it in the recycling bin. With the sharp and precise Power Cut blade, this can opener can handle any type of canned food. The one-touch operation allows you to quickly and easily open multiple cans of food. Think how much time and effort you'll save the next time you make chili -- your numerous cans of beans and tomatoes will pose absolutely no problem for this durable can opener.

In my quest to find a can opener that works, I ordered this one. It is a pain to get in position. Only cuts half the time. More trouble than it's worth to use. Will be returning this one. I got married in 1971 and had a can opener that lasted 22 years. Now I can't get one to work at all.
Off and on over my 40 years of homemaking I have tried to find an electric can opener that is worth the money. I have tried many and always go back to the manual type. Well I found a keeper with this one! It is weighted properly so I can open the smallest of cans or large ones without it tipping over or needing three hands to finish the task. The blades are alligned so the can usually is pierced with the first try. The blades also clean up very easily and completely. I have had my opener for over 6 years and so when my father needed an opener because of complications using his hands I bought him one. The ease of use took care of a lot of his frustrations with opening cans.
I needed a can opener that would handle the taller cans and this one does the trick. It is a bonus that it is a little heavier, so it balances things well to boot! Guiding the can into the cutter can be a little tricky, but just paying a little bit of attention gets you past that hurdle. Good opener - I'm going to enjoy this one.
I BOUGHT THIS AS A REPLACEMENT FOR AN OLDER EXACT MODEL. THE OLD ONE WAS VERY QUIET WHEN IT RAN. THIS ONE SOUNDS LIKE A GRINDING MACHINE. I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I LOVE THE PRODUCT, BUT JUST NOT THIS PARTICULAR ONE. I HAVE SAVED EVERYTHING AND AM THINKING OF RETURNING IT FOR A REPLACEMENT. SHOULD I DO THAT? IS IT A VERY HARD THING TO DO?
THANK YOU, MRS. CALDWELL
This electric can opener is the best one I've every owned, holds cans without falling over, even big heavy ones. The motor is really strong and it cuts into the can tops like butter. It is, however, the second one I've had to buy - the cutting handle that fits snuggly into a front hole has a hard plastic washer piece that broke off after a few years making it unusable, and unrepairable -- even though the can opener itself still worked fine.
