Don't spend your money.

In my quest to find a can opener that works, I ordered this one. It is a pain to get in position. Only cuts half the time. More trouble than it's worth to use. Will be returning this one. I got married in 1971 and had a can opener that lasted 22 years. Now I can't get one to work at all.

Why we bought this can opener

We have had a series of Black & Decker can openers thatsell for about $30. After a short time in use, the gear teeth that are supposed to drive the can around under the cutting blade, begin to slip, making it difficult to open cans. After a while, the gear teeth won't turn the can at all and the opener, other wise in good shape, must be replaced. The Cuisinart opener cost about 4 time as much as the B&D opener. I hope the gear teeth stand up longer on it.

Cuisinart Can Opener--Sharp Looking

This is a nice kitchen appliance--in both looks and function. I usually do not like the look of a can opener on my counter, but this one is good looking enough to leave out. It doesn't mind heavy cans at all, either!

I kill can openers at an alarming rate ..........or get one that refuses to work.
This one is perfect. Holds on to the can .........works everytime ...and makes me happy.

The Can Opener that can!

Replacing something you've had for years isn't always easy. This Cuisinart is a replacement for an old work horse I had for years. Wow!! I am impressed with its smooth operation and ease of use. It looks great on my counter and its tall thin size doesn't take up a lot of space. The stainless steel exterior looks clean and modern and its built with quality, as all my Cuisinart appliances are. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

This is a stunning piece on my kitchen counter. Works beautifully, exactly as described.

This is my second one. The opening mechanism on the first no longer worked reliably after a little over a year's use.

Bought it because I had to replace the old one and this is the best of what is out there.

broke

I bought one that broke a day later, the replacement lasted a whole week. Then
I replaced it with another type from Cuisinart and that one has lasted 2 months. I was so angry about the first two that I was ready to trash them and never buy
another one. The last one is fine. One of the first two broke Thanksgiving day and the second one busted on Christmas.

Can opener Can{'t} opener

I found it very difficult to place can in blade to open can. So did my husband. We couldn't figure it out. We're working on it and he has a PhD.

Good product, very stable. Handles big and small cans with ease. Only knock is getting removed the glue that held a label on the front of the opener. No need for the label to have been there in the first place.

Deluxe Electric Can Opener by Cuisinart

The previous can opener I had cut the top of with a smooth edge and the top was difficult to get off. Then the blade quickly wore out and would not open anything. I really like this Cuisinart can opener because it holds the can itself as it is opening and automatically stops when it is done and pulls the lid off with the magnet. I would purchase another Quisinart product since I have several other Quisinart products. They are made well and last a long time

Best Electric Can Opener I've Found

Off and on over my 40 years of homemaking I have tried to find an electric can opener that is worth the money. I have tried many and always go back to the manual type. Well I found a keeper with this one! It is weighted properly so I can open the smallest of cans or large ones without it tipping over or needing three hands to finish the task. The blades are alligned so the can usually is pierced with the first try. The blades also clean up very easily and completely. I have had my opener for over 6 years and so when my father needed an opener because of complications using his hands I bought him one. The ease of use took care of a lot of his frustrations with opening cans.

Sturdy, upscale addition to my stainless steel kitchen. Sticky label left a mark that had to be removed with cleanser. This did not effect the appearence and this should not deter anyone from owning one. It is worth every penny and then some!
