Good product but limited use

I wish I knew before I purchased this product how helpful an automatic timer would be or a feature that shut the unit off when it is done. Meals are cooked in four to perhaps six or eight hours. We are out of the house 12 hours a day during the week This presents a problem as I purchased the unit for weekday use.
The locking feature is fabulous. It is neither complicated to operate nor difficult to use.

Great slow cooker

I have used this slow cooker a couple times in the last few weeks since I purchased it. Both meals came out fantastic with rave reviews from the family. When doing my research on this product, I noticed some reviewers stating that to lock the top on is difficult. This feature is only needed if traveling with the cooker, and I have not found it difficult to use. When using the locking feature, the seal that is created makes for worry free travel.
The inside crock also cannot be used directly on the stove top for browning, but given the savings off one that can go on the stove, this is a great cooker. Clean up is a breeze. The countertop under the unit seems to get quite warm so I put my corian cutting board underneath just to be safe.

This is a great item. Everything is within reach-no dropped lids, no lost spoon. You can take it anywhere.

On the first time that I used the slow cooker, I had the opportunity to use the warm feature. It would just the way that I had hoped it would. The clean up was easy since the crock could be taken out of the cooking element.

This slow cooker is the PERFECT size, it maintains constant temperatures on all three settings. The lid is great and I love how I can clip it down if I want to. I love this cooker and would buy it again. FOUR STARS!
