Ordered this item not only to use to tighten my jam jars (main thing I can now)... But also because of arthritis in my hands AND the Ball reputation...

It took a couple of tries to get the hang of it but once I did the band tool worked just fine. I think the biggest advantage for me is I do not have to worry about my fingers getting too hot while tightening the bands.

I have arthritis in my right wrist and hand, and I know my new band tool will come in handed during canning season. I tried it out the minute I got it, to see how it worked, and just fell in love. Opening jars of my homemade canned foods is going to be a breeze from now on.
