I've had one of these pans for years and use it often for sweet treats and savory delights. The oblong shape makes a wonderful presentation. The detached bottom makes it easy to turn out a beautiful tart every time. The size is perfect to serve a small group. I just recently bought another pan for when I need more or want to have a couple of varieties. Here's a great hint: to save time on making the crust, buy a refrigerated tube of crescent rolls. Open the tube and stack the contents on a lightly floured in a rectangular shape, pinching the seams closed. Roll out with a floured rolling pin so the size is big enough to line the bottom amd sides with just a little overlap. It only takes a couple of minutes and now you are ready to make a quick quiche, add a sweet cream cheese filling with fruit, etc.

I have round tart pans, but have never come across a rectangular one and just had to have it. Find this at any price out there...you won't. Use this for savory dishes as well, not just desserts. With a pre-bought dough laid out in this (puff pastry or otherwise), insert sliced chicken or cold cuts and sliced (melting) cheese...presto, you have lunch in a novel presentation. Easy to slice b/c of the shape. It's not the same-old-same-old tart pan.

I absolutely love this tart pan, I actually had read a couple of reviews before buying this pan and someone had said they wished they would have bought two, so I did and I am so glad I did. I made two beautiful pear tarts for Thanksgiving and everyone thought I had bought them. They looked so professional and beautiful. Everyone loved the shape of the tart and how pretty they looked in the rectangular pans.

I always wanted a tart pan. Couldn't decide on which shape round or rectanguar, so I got both. Both heated evenly and has a nice crust. The 14x4 tart pan made a very showy presentation. Everyone loved the finished pecan tart and it fit so nicely on the buffet with all of the other foods.
Love it.
Perfect
This is the ultimate tart pan. It is extremely versatile and performs very well. It is easy to clean and very reasonably priced! Everyone needs this tart pan!!!
