Have used this just once and was not impressed. Thought this would be perfect for those nights you haven't prepared anything. Last minute meals can be difficult when your main entrée is in the freezer. This is supposed to thaw products within 15 or so minutes. I still ended up using defrost on microwave!
A stellar item and worth the $50! No more zapping food in the microwave and hoping that it's fully defrosted & not partially cooked (<--the worst)! All you do is set your frozen food on the plate and come back in 15 mins to perfectly thawed meats. So easy, even I can do it!

it works okay
The plate works but it doesn't work well unless what you are defrosting is single sliced. I package everything with three to four pieces of meat. So they freeze together. Thawing like this takes a lot more time than advertised. However if you do it one slice at a time it works well.
I've seen this product advertised for ages, but never bought one. I finally yielded and bought one, and I used it for the first time tonight. I'm AMAZED -- a frozen bone-in pork chop thawed in 12 minutes! I'm sold! WARNING: It's packaged with a narrow plastic "stick" that is completely undefined. The instructions say, "..Always attach the drip collector." Looking at the picture on the package, I decided that's what it was -- there's no diagram to show you how to use it, and nothing "clicks in" to indicate a correct installation. I fitted it onto one end and hoped for the best. Nothing dripped, so maybe I did something right!
