Bought these for my daughters one of whom is a great cook and home economics teacher and the other, a high school administrator, who said this will be perect for my desk to hold important papers. A product with many uses.

Awesome!

I love this kitchen stone. It works perfectly and is small enough to store when not in use. It looks great and when I have visiters they are amazed at how well it holds a piece of paper. I cook a lot and I get most of my recipes online, which means I either print them out or use my Ipad. The problem with the Ipad is that I have to keep going back to it with messy hands to reopen the recipe or leave it open and drain the battery. With the Kitchen Stone, I put my printed recipe on the stone, it stands straight up and I don't have to touch it again. It takes up little space on my countertop yet is right there when I need to peek at the recipe. I love kitchen gadgets and this is one of the best ones yet!

Love it!

I have been looking for something like this and when I read the reviews, I was sold. What I especially like is it's ability to hold 8 x 10 sheets of paper. I am a recipe collector (newspapers and magazines) and wanted something to hold them upright. I liked it so well that I bought one for my best friend who is also a recipe collector.

Recipe Rocks - Great for gifts

by William, OR
September 26, 2012

I've used similar products for years and this approach (magnet to hold the document) is new to me, but I suspect it'll work fine. So, I purchased three for Christmas presents. Really works well for recipes cut out of newspapers or magazines, or printed from the web onto single sheets of paper.

The Recipe Rock rocks!

by Dafydd, PA
September 26, 2012

Very small, stays out of the way, but does exactly as advertised. An elegantly simple solution to the problem of holding a recipe. Small enough to be moved as my cooking takes over the counter. A "stupid simple" product. Highly recommended for function and price!

Recipe Rock

I purchase 1 for myself and 2 more for friends. Very sturdy & small does not take a lot of room on my counter top. I have used this three times and it works real good. I think its a little pricey but I paid it because I liked the concept of how it works and its so compact. I use it as a page holder. I print out my recipes and drop them into a plastic page holder so I don't have a problem with the page drooping over. I also have used this to hold a needlepoint or cross stitch chart(I do both) and it works good.

This is an ingenious little product. It really holds the page at just the right angle and keeps it clean. I will be buying more as gifts.

Great Idea

by Beth, IN

What a great idea. I wish I had thought of it. You can't beat it for the price. I print recipes all the time and have to lay them flat on the counter. They end up stained and in the way. The Recipe Rock solves both problems. I intend to purchase some for gifts.

Just ok

by carol, CA

I was surprised that this little device actually holds up an 8.5/11" printout. I like that it is small and does not take up much space. Some of my recipes continue on to a second page and it is kind of a nuisance shifting between the two pages. All in all, though, I think it is an ok product.

Compact and functional

by Linda, MD
October 1, 2012

I bought two of these, (one for my daughter-in-law) as the idea appealed to me and the price is right. I collect a lot of recipes that I print from the Food Network website keep in a three ring binder. The recipe rock holds the single page at just the right angle and keeps it from flying away. It looks great on the kitchen counter and is small enough to fit in the cabinet or even my utensil drawer. The magnet seems to be quite adequate; the "rock" is easy to wipe clean and overall, the piece is attractive yet does not overwhelm the counter space. I intend to buy several more for stocking stuffers for this Christmas.

This recipe rock is awesome! I bought one more for a Christmas present after my sister-in-law saw it and said, "you can get me one of those for Christmas". Also got one for a birthday present for my daughter-in-law who is a terrific cook when we visit them. I know she will love it too!

At last! This thing works!

by Janice, CA

It holds both newsprint and standard copy paper, plus the magnet is strong enough to hold recipe cards. The paper stays upright and readable. It would be handy at the office and would work for knitting patterns, etc. I LOVE this thing!

Recipe Rock

by Susan, GA
October 16, 2012

I ordered these to give for Christmas presents. I do think that the price is a little high especially when you add in the cost of shipping, but the packaging and quality of product looks very good. It would probably be a good idea to try to find them in a store so you wouldn't have to pay shipping.

I ordered 2 of the recipe rocks; one for me and one for my sister for her birthday. I'm in the process of making a cookbook of my recipes for my kids and this rock is just the best for holding the original recipe so I don't have to have something else behind it to see to type it. This is the greatest!!!! I also do alot of baking and don't always want to look at the recipe on a flat surface.
