Great times Making Tortillas

I had always imagine myself making tortillas. Being of Hispanic background I saw my mom, grandmother, cousins and neighbors making tortillas with their hands. In the last few months I decided I also wanted to get in the bandwagon or "making tortillas". Of course, that did not happen as mom, was laughing the way I was making them with my hands. Mom kept saying they were not "tortillas", they were "chanclas" (sandals since they did not were round at all). When I got the email from cooking.com and they were featuring the tortilla presser, I had to buy it and I have not stop making tortillas since them. I find any excuse to make them. Even though I'm not eating them, well not that often. Last weekend we had a friends bar-b-que and could not resit making tortillas from scratch, of course, they were a HIT!. As I was reading some of the reviews; I got some other great ideas for my tortilla maker. I'm sure the novelty will wear off, but in the mean time I will enjoy every minute of it.

I am delighted with my new tortilla press. It is exactally what I wanted. Simple and easy - no frills. I already have a fancy one and hate it! This new one fits me just fine and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the simple, easy way to make tortillas.

It would help if you mention the diameter of the press. Otherwise, it is an excellent press.
