I have been wanting a smaller steamer to match my set but the only option was to purchase another pot with steamer insert for $200!! I have continued to check the website periodically for a less expensive alternative that I can use with several of the pots I purchased last year and was delighted to see this product. I can use with several of my pans for a variety of foods. Thank you for filling this void in the product line! Dee Gambill

Was dissapointed to find this is only an insert with a lid and requires a sauce pan in addition to be functional. It is listed as a universal steamer but is not a complete steamer.

Easy to use.

When I choose this steamer, this product is in tri-ply category. So I ordered this to fit other my tri-ply calphalon set. But exterior is totally different and a little bit small. Size is not that big concern to me. If the handle of lid and steamer is the same with Tri-ply set, it would be better.

I thought it was bigger in size and would fit most of my other Calphalon products but in reality it only fit the smaller sauce pans
