Customer Reviews
I have one pot like this. This one will allow me to use the summer produce to make quantities of my favorite soups to freeze for Fall and winter eating.

I'm used to high end cookware, and I couldn't afford the stockpot that went with my set (about $500), so when I saw this one on sale, I thought I'd give it a try. Big mistake! The thickness of the metal is very thin. I have burned everything I have started to cook in this pot, and then I turn the gas down so low to not burn the food, and it won't stay hot enough to keep a boil. I'm sure it's my fault; I'm just not used to it, but I never have that problem with my cookware. If you're used to LeCruset then go for it! I'm sure it's a wonderful bargain. Another thing, I used my stick blender in it and I think I have some scratches in the bottom of the pot. I've never used a ceramic coated pot before, so it's probably my fault again. I probably wasn't supposed to do that. I've never had a problem with the stick blender with my regular pots and pans before. Oh yeah, the handles on the sides get really hot while you're cooking. Be very careful! And another thing is the color. I was expecting a rich brown with the name "Truffle Brown". What I got was a watery, pale, light, baby-poop brown that doesn't have an ounce of richness in it. It certainly doesn't look like the picture! Overall, it's very lightweight and the handles get hot as blazes when you're cooking, but it's probably a decent value considering what you pay for it, just for heaven's sake get another color besides Truffle Brown! I think I'm going to clean mine up really well and give it to my daughter. She wouldn't take care of a nicer pot anyway, doesn't mind having hand-me-downs, and she loves brown!

While growing up, our cook had a set of the LeCreuset in the Caribbean. I have always wanted a set and finally, a color came out that I liked - Truffle. It's a great quality - very sturdy, a perfect size. And even better - it was on sale!

This pot is a great value, made of quality material and light weight for easy use and cleaning. As an aside, the color options is a plus. I prefer this height rather than a wide bottom pot. It is easily store and cleans up perfectly if you follow the directions for cleaning. This is a must for the cook who has difficulty using those pots that seem to weigh a ton!
