Great Pastry Mat

I've looked at several pastry mats and they all fell short of being well designed until this one. It has it all. A smooth non stick surface, a non skid backing, and really well designed surface. All the size rounds you would need, the ruler across the top and bottom for measuring bar cookies and rectangles of pastry. The equivalents info and temperature conversions are another plus. And a sturdy storage tube. Every thing I wanted in a pastry mat and more. A great product.

Pastry Mat

What I like the most about this product, over others that I looked at, is that it sticks to the counter. It also has all of the measurements on the side that is a quick reference, especially to new bakers. I bought mine as a gift for my daughter. She has always watched me roll out pie crusts and has not done any herself. This mat is ideal for her and gives her the measurement that she needs when she is rolling out dough to fit her pie dish.

Pastry Mat for Rolling Dough

This pastry mat had a very strong plastic smell when I first received it. I washed it with dish soap and put it on my table under my table cloth and left it there for a week. The smell is gone and also the mat doesn't curl up on me. I have used it mainly for rolling out bread dough, but this will be perfect for pastry as well. As long as you don't put back in the plastic tube it comes in, it works fine. This is a great deal for the price!

Yes, the product appears and smells exactly what the product review has described. I am satisfied with it and I will continue to use it for my dough making.

My New Pastry Mat

It's thinner than the one it replaced, but that doesn't matter. In fact, it's easier to roll up and store. It's also slightly larger, also a good thing.

Super mat!

Loved this mat the first time I used it! My cut-out cookies didn't stick, and the surface was easy to clean. Want to order another for our other home. Well worth the money!

Very versatile

Not just for baking...I use it underneath cutting boards to make clean-up easier. The measurement guides are very handy, too.

We only have difficulty with the packaging not protecting the mat. It got dimpled in transit and it was intended as a gift. The difficulty was handled to our satisfaction.

I loved it! Stays flat, stays in place, and no odor as others noted. Much better than the cloth mat I've been using for years. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great mat, both by composition and design. It is very easy to roll and work dough on and a snap to clean up. Much better than my previous mat !!

Nice size pastry sheet. Stays in place on counter top. Cleans up well. Floured well but still had a little trouble with pie crust sticking!

The size is perfect for rolling dough. The "stickiness" on the back prevents it from sliding; it comes out of its storage tube flat. Great product.

Excellent Pastry Mat

This Pastry Mat exceeded all my expectations. From the non slip backing to all the helpful markings and measurements. I will be purchasing more to give as gifts.

I make a lot of roll-out cookies and pastries and have used the same Tupperware pastry mat for 40 years. However, I got new textured laminate counters this summer and the Tupperware mat doesn't "stick" to the textured surface so I was on the hunt for a new one. This one works! It was very easy to get the cut-outs off the mat -- even for my 5-year old grandson, and the measurements and equivalents printed on the mat are helpful. I don't know how long the "sticky" on the back will last which is why I'm giving it a 4. It needs to be better packed for shipping. The first one I received was all crinkled up for a few inches at one end and wouldn't lay flat, but it was replaced very quickly

The mat stayed in place while I was rolling out my cookie dough. Just have to remind myself to place some water under the mat to hold the mat in place on the counter. The information on the mat was useful.
