Once ready, your waffles will slide right out thanks to the nonstick cooking plates. The exterior is made of sleek chrome with a cool-touch insulated handle. Near the handle is a light that signals when the waffle maker is preheated and ready to bake. For ease of storing, a latch on the handle closes tightly so the entire unit can be stored upright. Has a hidden cord storage area, and comes with a recipe booklet.

Best Waffle Iron I've Ever Owned!

I'm very happy with the quality of this waffle iron. The size of the waffles are generous, there is no sticking and they cook up nice and golden brown. Well worth the price!

Love that it is huge!

Pros:
*Huge cooking surface. One batch of alton brown waffles is only three rounds of waffles!
*Great heat capacity, toasts waffles well without burning.
*Although huge, it stores well as it can stand vertically.
*I really like the yeast and baking soda based waffles I have made so far! Have not tried fruit yet though.

Cons:
*Somewhat difficult to fill because it is so big.
*About as difficult to clean as previous models I've used. (use a brush!)
*Handle is pretty hot.

To me, the pros far outweigh the cons.

We were very disappointed in the finished waffle and also the price. We gave that one awasy and realized we could get the Krups waffle Iron on line. We are having wonderful waffels again.
