The safety device for the feed tube makes it very cumbersome to use. You have to cut things (such as a potato you want to slice) into such small pieces to fit in the large opening so it will lock that you can manually cut things faster. I would have sent it back if it had not been a gift. My older model was much more user-friendly.

Essential Kitchen Tool

by Craig, MA
October 24, 2007

The White Pro Custom 11 Food Processor was purchased to replace my nearly thirty year old DCL-8 Cuisinart Food Processor that had given me great service and was only replaced because the worn out parts were more than 50% of the replacement cost. I wanted the same size model because over the years I had purchased peripheral blades that are perfectly use able. I use the machine three or more times a week and find that I was lost without it. I am pleased with the new machine it appears to be a work horse like the original. The bakers top is very useful and when I make muffins and other pastries I find it convenient.

I have owned 3 other food processors and this is the best one I have ever had. I do not chop onions any more, grate cheese, slice celery or carrots. I even chop chili pepers perfectly. You control how fine something is chopped by how long it processes. The cheese comes out fluffy instead of sticky. The blades are extremely sharp. I dropped it and had to have 2 stitches in my leg, so be very very careful with them.

This food processor has made my work in the kitchen easier. It shreddes slices, chops, does it quickly and easily. Easy to clean and goes back together quickly and easily. The motor isnt sluggish when you chop, shreds,or slices. The food is sliced, shredded and chopped quickly.
I havent made bread with it yet,but I cant imagine it wouldnt do it quickly. I recommend this machine. I enjoy using it and would buy another if this one ever breaks down. LOL I bet it will out last me.

I think Cuisinart makes excellent products. I decided to get a new Cusinart food processer because this one is larger than my old one and has the two tube option as well as a second shredding blade are great.
I use this food processor almost daily. I love it.

Still the best brand

Cuisanart still makes the best food processors, my old one lasted 27 years with occasional bowl replacements. It is slightly smaller than the one that it replaced so the blades are not interchangable. The second flat lid is very convenient and should extend the life of the

I am very pleased with this food processor, the instructions, both written and on the DVD are explicit, and easily understood. The correct 'hardness' of such things as cheese,is well explained,so nobody should be concerned with damaging their food prcessor.Overall I find the unit to be easy to use and well worth the money I spent .

Food Processor for Christmas

by Louis, GA
December 28, 2008

I bought this food process to assist my christmas cooking/baking. I had purchased a food processor a couple of years ago and it seemed to be a littlw short on power, and hust not quite chop all the items I needed the same. I have used this unit through the holiday season. Wow what a time saver. I made all my normal Christmas items and even tried new ones since my normal ones came out so well. I am well pleased with purchase.

I have had a Cuisinart in my kitchen for over 25 years. I recently had to buy a new one because the bowl cracked and the model I had was too old to replace. I insisted on having a Cuisinart. It is easy to use, and very few parts to assemble to use. I recently bought my 3rd Cuisinart for my daughter. It is a very essential appliance for the kitchen. I will say that I will not put the bowl, etc in dishwasher. I think over the years it does dry out. I do give the product 5 stars.

Much too complicated. Push slide tube must remain attached to lock and is very cumbersome to use.

Although this product is great and simplifies lot of manual kitchen tasks, consumers should not be paying more than $120 for this product.

I didn't realize that I would use the food processor so much. I bought it on the recommendation of my 17-year-old son, my aspiring chef. He just loves to be in the kitchen whipping something up.

I bought my first cuisinart in 1977. and I have been a big fan ever since. I like to cook and a cuisinart has to be in my kitchen. It makes life easier and the food prepared properly. How else can you make a pie crust.

I bought this as a present for my friends' wedding - they are thrilled with it and have already used it daily. I have a much older version of the Cuisinart, and will not hesitate to upgrade to this whizzier and larger version as soon as I need to (if ever - I've used the one I have about to death for at least eight years and it still works fine!).

I am sad that it does not wash dishes because it certainly does everything else. I have used it a couple times so far but upon reading the instruction pamphlet it will do just about everything I can do with a mixer or blender. Happy that there are so many slicing blades as well.

I am a food processor newbie, but I have high marks for the Custom 11's user-friendliness. It's powerful, and I like the size of the bowl. Plus, all pieces are dishwasher friendly, which is a major plus. I'm still learning the ins and outs, but I like it a lot so far. I wish they'd put the instructional video on DVD (instead of VHS).

11-c. Wh Pro 11 Food Processor by Cuisinart

by Karen, MN
December 5, 2006

The food processor is very good and much nicer than the old one I had from many years ago, also Cuisinart. I may have been able to get it cheaper and not have paid postage and handling somewhere else. I have learned a lesson to do more homework before ordering online.
