My only disappointment (and it IS a significant disappointment) is that the cups in this set are made of stoneware. They have a different texure than the dishes and are a slightly different shade of white, as if they don't quite match.Besides, stoneware chips fairly easily and I prefer the durability of the traditional Corelle material. I have purchased many sets of Corelle dishes and all have included cups made of the same material as the dishes. This is the first set I have purchased in which the cups do not match the dishes.

Corelle Winter Frost Dinnerware Set
No one can go wrong with Corelle! Microwavable, dish washer safe and rugged despite it's light weight. I bought this set to add to the set of 8 I already have. You cannot tell the difference between the "old" set and the new. Stays beautiful for years.
plates and bowls are glass and made in USA. mugs are crappy made in china stoneware and don't match so not happy about that. My mom's older corelle set with the ivy on it has glass coffee cups that are wonderful. wish this set had those. I threw out the mugs because I don't trust pottery from china.
Wanted to get Corelle as I have owned in the past with great satisfaction. However was kind of dissapointed that the cups were 'Made in China'. Suppose that's the price I have to make to get a larger, more generous coffee cup.
