Great roaster for the price.

I ordered this roaster for a large gathering to keep the main course warm and it worked wonderfully. I was very impressed on the value of this product and will cherish my new roaster for future entertaining and with Thanksgiving coming up soon I'm sure it will come in handy. Again thank you for a wonderful roaster.

Why didn't I buy this sooner?

I bought a house with it's original oven in place and it's very small. Holidays were a drag with having to prep and cook side dishes the night before to leave the oven free for the turkey. Never again! It was awesome to be able to put the turkey on and relax for the first couple of hours and then pop my sides into my little oven! I will be using this Rival Roaster on a frequent basis! Great purchase!

Versatile appliance, great value

I bought this roaster to free up my oven this Thankgiving. It did a good job of roasting the turkey, although I found the cooking time was much shorter than what the manual predicted. When I cook a turkey in it the next time, I will set the temperature 25 degrees lower and check the turkey about an hour prior to the stated guidelines. Based on my experience, the "heat loss" caused by lifting the lid during cooking would not cause any significant problem or delay!

Actually I haven't had a chance to use this since my friend borrowed it as soon as I got it and hasn't returned it as of yet. SHe was having a big Thanksgiving DInner and her oven had quit working. Now she has a Christmas party planned on the 12th and wants to keep it until then.

This Roaster Oven will be a Wedding Gift.

I have owned this very item for several years, and been very happy with the results while using it. The gift recipients are close friends, and I fully expect that they will be very pleased with it .
While not an item for everyday use, when it is needed, it can be depended on to perform like a champion.

Roaster Oven

I used it for the first time for Christmas dinner. It totally freed up my oven so I could bake other things while the ham cooked. I recommend it to anyone who can't afford to re-do your kitchen to have 2 ovens. It is affordable and the meat was superbly cooked.

This roaster is a very good value for the price. We've used it several times already as we cook for 10 people and we love it!

I enjoyed this much more than putting my turkey in the oven.

Roaster Satisfaction

We are delighted with the roaster ovens (2) which we purchased, Our goal was two fold in making the purchase--that of a warming device for a chili supper for 60 plus people and for roasting large chickens or turkeys. We used both roasters for the chili supper and they were perfect. The chili was kept at just the right temperature and it was easy to serve directly from the roasters. We plan to use one at Thaniksgiving for roastng our turkey. For the inexpensive price the value is very good and they are nice looking.

18 qt Roaster

I think it is a good product for beginner cooks. I would have preferred a more solid roaster for long term use but it did serve its purpose for the short term. I'm a personal chef and need items I will not have to replace.

GOOD PRODUCT

THESE ROASTERS HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE I WAS A CHILD. THEY ARE STILL CONVENIENT AND PERFORM VERY GOOD AS AN EXTRA OVEN FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. HAVE SEEN THEM LOCALLY REDUCED TO 17 QUARTS.

Just What I Was Looking For

I have used this product only once so far and was very pleased with the result. I roasted a pork shoulder with potatoes, carrots and onions and it turned out just like grandma's. Looking forward to using it again real soon.

Always wanted one!

I couldn't pass up this opportunity. It was the best deal around - I know because I shopped for the best deal for one as a Christmas gift for someone else! I haven't used it yet, but I am excited to try it.

Large Roaster

I have done pot roast and pork butt in this. Can slow cook or cook faster. Love my roaster. I did not realize how large it would be. Can cook up to 22 lb turkey!
